  1. Picked up Blitzwing at my local Target. They also had Springer and Blaster's data discs, but I was low on cash. I'll be back. Just wanted to let everybody know that they're out in the wild. Blitzwing is awesome in case anybody was wondering. His faces are a bit of a bitch to change though. Good hunting!

  2. ...and back to the third party stuff that is actually not a bunch of expensive repaints. ;)

I'm soooooo tempted to get those. I love the aerialbots and these are a fantastic homage to them. Now, if I can somehow talk my wife into not killing me when I drop $100 a piece on them..... :P

Love my X-mas present from my wife! :)

But, it's not Christmas yet......weak!!! I'm just jealous because I know Masterpiece Optimus Prime is sitting under my tree and I can't tear it open until 12/24. It's torture!!! : ) Nice Shockwave custome you got there Devil M. I see some hints of Engergon Shockblast and DOTM Shockwave. The paint job looks excellent. Congrats!

Weaponizers Prime, with added paint apps! :)

(crap... forgot to post more pics of Nemesis Landmine) :redface

    D. Mazinkaiser- What are your thoughts on Weaponizer Prime? Is he worth buying? He looks great in that pic, but I was curious to whether or not he was as good as I'm hoping. Thanks in advance!

  5. An old custom... Energon "Nemesis" Landmine!

    photobucket-1839-1343001363669.jpg

Landmine is such a cool figure. Highly underrated. I was thinking about digging him out of storage and displaying him for a bit (got limited shelf space). Nice custom work too!

  6. Can I please get some feedback?

What can I do to make this Kre-O Optimus look a little better:

Here is the original robot mode, before the extra parts are added:

    Thanks in advance,

I think he looks pretty damn good. The only critique I can give is that his head seems a tad small in proportion to his body. Other than that, I don't see any changes that need to be made. That tempts me to consider buying one of those kits. Did all of the extra parts that you added come with it or where they from other Kre-O sets?
  7. There's a Bumblebee plague here in Missouri, but I did manage to find Voyager class Bulkhead and Starscream at a local Target. Here's the lowdown.

Bulkhead: I never saw the FE version in stores, but I really like the PRID version. Both his vehicle mode and robot mode are very solid. Arms and legs are articulated well, but since his legs are so stumpy it makes it a little hard to put him in dramatic poses. His jaw opens and closes as well.

Starscream: He's very similar to the FE mold, but with a few tweaks (and bigger obviously). Robot mode is great and very posable. He's more stable than the FE mold. His jet mode isn't bad, but the colors used (mostly the red areas) seem out of place and give the jet a "cartoony" feel. He also only comes with only one missle per wing instead of the cluster of three that the FE had.

They both came with their light up weapons, but they're pretty lame. I toss those in a box and forget about them. Overall, both figures are good and worth picking up. If you can find them.....

Last one. I swear...unless First Edition Vehicon gets released here, that is.

    A guy can dream, right?

I want FE Prime Prime sooooo bad. But, knowing my luck, the second I buy him online for an inflated price, Hasbro will decide to release that mold under the Generations line. Patience. Patience....

  9. I really like the "Tag Team" picture, Ebonsaber. Hound and Warpath are two of my favorite classics molds. The designers did a fantastic job recreating them. You even managed to get a good lighting angle so Hound's lightpiping was working. Nice job!

  10. Got the entire first wave of Prime RID toys minus BB seeing as i have the FE..here are my thoughts:

Cliffjumper- i like him...hands down..i know alot of people are complaining over him being inferior to the FE mold..i can agree with this....however to me that doesnt mean its necessarily a bad toy...yeah he kinda has gorilla arms...and im not down with the hammer thing...but its still a decent figure for the most part...the transformation is interesting.....the detail is nice and i love his head sculpt.....though he is my least favorite out of the first wave deluxes i still like him...he will do nicely seeing as i cant afford the FE... 2 1/2 out of 5

Wheeljack- this guy is fucking great...love the car mode..love the bot mode...cant really think of any thing good to say that anyone hasnt already said about this guy....couldve used a bicep swivel...other than that..no real complaints with the guy...absolutely love his leg transformation...very creative and thought out....second favorite of the first wave..... 4 out of 5

Voyager Prime- Meh....dont get me wrong...the robot mode is nice...its those clear blue forearms and those terrible weapons...total crap...his truck mode is really nice though.....nice articulation....nice detail...just the weapons kill it for me....gonna find another gun from somewhere for him and paint those forearms...then he'll be great...once again..cant afford the FE... 3 out of 5

Voyager Megatron- My favorite of the two voyagers...i actually really like this version of this toy....great robot mode...i can live with the vehicle mode..with as out of the ordinary as it is...hasbro did a good job with what they had to work with on the vehicle mode....robot mode is fantastic....dont mind the "wings" made from the back kibble...can just take them off....cannon doesnt really bother me that much either to tell you the truth....with some paint and a little modding itll do just fine..... 4 1/2 out of five

Soundwave- last but not least...my absolute favorite from the first wave..and incidentally the first one i bought thanks to a kind member of the forums here...thanks man......this figure is absolutely perfect in every way...period....predator drone mode....A+ Robot mode...A+ the inclussion of Ratbat (its Ratbat to me, get over it) A+..... i love this dude....amazing posability...amazing detail..fantastically accurate in both modes...what more could you ask for....it even exudes creepy as hell...just like in the show.... best of the line IMO....get him if none of the others.. 5 out of 5

I agree about Voyager Prime's gun. It really is terrible. However, if you ever decide to get Arcee, the massive gun she comes with is a great substitute for it. It looks much better in Optimus's hands since it's literally as tall as her.

  11. Not much of a action pose, but more of "Did anyone know he could do this?"

    TFP Cyberverse Commander Starscream

    ApQ3YcUCAAErVhO.jpg

Add me to the list of "I did NOT know that!" Thanks for the tip Taaron!

  12. Breaker, I have to respectfully disagree. I'm not getting your reasoning for saying he lacks leg articulation. His knees bend, he has hinged ankles, and the legs can swivel at the hip area. What more do you need? The figure has superior detailing and his arms are some of the more unique designs I've seen in quite a while. He can strike some very cool poses especially if you use the "triple jointed" abilities of his arms. I just think 2.5 out of 5 is exceptionally harsh for this exceptional figure. Just my two cents on Soundwave.

I picked up Ratchet earlier this week and he's ok. Could use more paint and I wish they would have used some sort of locking mechanism for big sections that hang off of the lower back of his legs. Also, why did they go with the super soft rubber for his blades? After getting Wheeljack with his stiffer swords I thought the soft rubber was a thing of the past.

  13. Found TF Prime: Wheeljack at retail today. These guys are fooking expensive to buy in Spain.

Anyways, he's an ok figure, but one thing that bothers me is his arm articulation, or lack of basically

I freakin' love the new Wheeljack. What area in the arm are you having posing issues with? Mine has great shoulder, elbow, and wrist movement. Check out the action pose thread. DevilMazinkaiser is showing some great pics of him. It's like if Drift and Wheeljack merged to form Awesome.

  14. Picked up RID Soundwave and Wheeljack today at my local Toys R Us. I'd post pics, but I'm back at work. They also had Bumblebee and Cliffjumper (may get Cliffjumper tomorrow) along with some Legion figures (no Commanders yet) and Bot Shots. No Voyagers yet unfortunately. They're hitting the shelves folks. Good hunting!!

  15. Here are pics of my latest and greatest. I dig them all in their own ways. LOVE the Prime figures so far. HA Leadfoot and Roadbuster are hard as hell to transform. Curious to why Steeljaw wasn't in the movie...

  16. Saturday I went to the Toys R Us in Modesto and purchased Prime Starscream and Bumblebee.

While both transformed okay, the things I do not like is that Bee's right arm is loose. He does look great is robot form. My problem with Starscream is that his spikes on his knees are also loose. And the missiles since they are rubber are a little deformed. And why the heck did these creators make Starscream so feminine.

My Bumblebee has the exact same problem. Even the same arm! It appears to be that the hinge pin on his shoulder is loose? I'm going to work on him this weekend to see if I can fix the problem because it's super floppy. I'll let you know if I find an easy fix for it.

that shot of scream is so AWESOME! :alert

I second that! I can't wait until I spot Starscream in the wild. Then, he's mine! Does anybody know when the Voyager class figures are going to be available? Optimus looks awesome.

  18. Picked up RTS Lugnut....he is AWESOME. Wasn't ever planning on getting him but saw him Grapple (already have him) and Deep Dive at Marshalls and couldn't pass Lugnut up. He looks cool in bot mode, love the plane mode as well. He will be my Classics "Shockwave" stand in....has anyone ever done a Lugnut to Shockwave mod/kitbash?

I agree. RTS Lugnut is a must-have for all TFans. Just like you said, he looks awesome in bot mode and is really poseable. Hell, his mouth even opens and he has jointed fingers! His price at Marshall's can't be beat ($9.99).

    Ultimate Prime!

That is why he is worth it! I was eh, so-so on this from the start. Got it on the Walmart online sale with free shipping and I'm ultimately happy that I did! Some figures are just fun, some are great for their presence within a collection. This one is surprisingly both.

All right, you have convinced me to pick one up now!

Me too! I second everything you guys said. I bought him last night, but haven't had the chance to take him out of the box. My ONLY issue is that his wheels for some reason aren't painted. I'll remedy that this weekend. Crazy how that one picture from Devil Mazinkaiser convinced me to buy him. My wallet hates you! :tflaugh

  20. SDCC matrix Prime...GGGRRREEEAAAATTT!!! I love this one! Yeah, a little bland in truck mode but the transformation is extremely fun and clever and the bot does everything you want a deluxe figure to do. The packaging alone for this guy makes him worth the pickup! AWESOME! If you're on the fence with this one, get off of it NOW! He's well worth it!

My SDCC Matrix Prime arrived in the mail yesterday and I totally agree on the packaging comment. It's AWESOME!!! Love the magnetic seal for it. I think I'm going to leave the figure in the package since it's such a sweet display piece. If there are any more available on Hasbro's website I recommend ordering him.

I also managed to finally find Reveal the Shield Lugnut at TJ Maxx for $9.99!!!! He's very cool especially for that price. Deep Dive was also there, but I was saving some pennies for MP Rodimus (which I'm hoping my Toys R Us is getting in today). Speaking of Rodimus, good luck to the collectors trying to get him. The scalpers are out in full force....
