Megatron: I have returned, Optimus Prime, and with my powerful new body I WILL DESTROY YOU!

Optimus: Megatron, you will be stopped, no matter... wait a minute, weren't you taller the last time we fought?

Megatron: *sniff* From that point on he just wouldn't stop picking on my height! *sniff*

Galvatron: I know the feels, man. I went through the same ordeal myself...

  2. I was stoked when reports were coming in about how 2013 Commemorative G1 Ultra Magnus was going to be based more on Takara's 15th anniversary Ultra Magnus, but boy was I in a load of disappointment when I got it today. The package pics did show the vintage fig but was inside, as far as I can tell, is virtually identical to the 2002 Commemorative G1 Ultra Magnus including the extra long missiles and neutered smokestacks, with the addition of the tampographed Tomy snd 2011 Hasbro copyright stamp.

  3. I just finished building the Kabaya Fortress Maximus model kit and it is a thing of beauty. The detail, the features, just everything about him is pure win, and the mini Windcharger, Powerglide, and Cerebros are just fraggin awesome. And of course his big freaking sword is a nice piece as well.

Don't forget the size of the kit, I'm impressed it's voyager class big as well...

So far my favorites of the line are Fort Max for the reasons listed above, Ultra Magnus as despite being based on the Titanium mold had the ability to relocate the shoulders closer to the front, and the God Ginrai set simply for having elbows.

  4. Taaron: A friend showed me these at a local hobby shop in my neck of the woods. I already like legos and robots, so I fell in love with the line when that friend let me try his sets out. Plus this weekend he's gonna sell me a pile of parts that can fill a TF:P Voyager box for a song! I can't wait to get cranking on making my own robots!

  5. I wasn't really happy about Generations Red Alert's lightbar or non-cartoon head, so I decided to tweak it a little by swapping the former with TFTM Barricade's lightbar and re-painting the latter.

I was surprised and pleased to find the lightbars have the same distance between screw posts, but it needed a little work because one screw post from Barricade's lightbar was longer than the hole in Red Alert's roof, which a little trimming with a knife fixed quite easily...

As for the head, I didn't really paint it, but I used a red Gundam Marker on it instead, at the same time experimenting with using Blue Tack to cover the silver-painted face...

  6. Just sharing.

This was an idea I presented to our local group for an event's display diorama, however irreconcilable differences had sprung up and disintegrated the group, so it never came to light...

  7. Manuals, catalogs and sticker sheets go into a small drawer on the bottom of my toy cabinet...

RID, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Encore, Henkei(and their takara/sonokong/moccom counterparts) tech spec cards and stickers go into small 2x2 card album booklets which I recalled from my Magic: The Gathering playing days(I bought new ones, as my original M:TG booklets were stolen out of my bag back in college, making me quit altogether). They're small enough to be stored inside the same drawer. I use 3, one for my Autobots, one for my Decepticons, and the last for my microns, Unicron, Primus and other unalinged TF's

  8. Thanks for the input, I'm actually from the Philippines...

With the current exchange rate going from US$ 1 = Php 42.64 (Philippine Peso)

Prices quoted already include 12% Value Added Tax

TF:P Deluxes go for Php 699.75 or converted US$ 16.40

TF:P Voyagers go for Php 1,499.75 or converted US$ 35.13

Haven't seen TF:P commanders or leader class figures yet, but with DOTM, which were also priced the same in terms of deluxes and voyagers...

DOTM Cyberverse figs(formerly legends class) went for Php 349.75 converted US$ 8.18

DOTM Commander Class figs went for Php 549.75 converted US$ 12.86

DOTM Leader Class figs went for Php 2,999.75 converted US$ 70.19

  9. I've always been a bit curious about how much people are paying for their Transformers off the pegs all around the world, since a lot of factors pour in regarding pricing like exchange rates, taxes, duties and such, so I'd like to hear just how much each size class(Scout, Deluxe, Voyager, Ultra, Leader) regularly costs in brick and mortar stores at different countries and see how each fare, as well as the exchange rate compared to the US Dollar (If not in the US, obviously)...
