  1. BotCon has just announced the date and location for their 2024 convention, which also marks their 30th anniversary! - The BotCon 30th Anniversary takes it back to where it all began this summer in Ft. Wayne, Indiana! -
This year marks not just the 40th anniversary of Transformers, but also the 30th anniversary of THE Original Transformers Collectors’ and Fan Convention… BotCon!
The show returns to Ft. Wayne, Indiana this June 27-30 for an anniversary celebration Transformers fans will be talking about all year long!
From our friends at Agabyss, the show promoter for BotCon:
You can make your reservations through our partner hotel, Courtyard by Marriott starting today. The convention itself will be held right across the street at the Grand Wayne Center, site for BotCon 1994, 2000, and 2002. Since those 3 conventions, the Grand Wayne Center has been expanded in to a new, much larger facility with amazing state of the art amenities. This is going to be the Transformers event of the Summer!
Make your reservation today through our online link and stay tuned for pre-registration later this month!
Please note, we have also opened Vendor and Artist registration. Vendor booth size has been expanded to a 10x10 space and the rate for a single booth and multiple booth options has been reduced/reworked this year to give any vendor more budget options. All of the details are in the online listing. Any questions, please contact us. You can secure your spot today by using the Vendor/Artist check out options below.

And a first for the NEW BotCon, we will have multiple content creators at the show, happy to share info and details about their craft with their fellow fans! Great to announce two more today - TMReviews & Diecast from RFC Reviews!

Oh, and BotCon has posted two MORE ticket packages on Agabyss. These are two different experience packages with different voice actors. One is the "Botcon 2023 Angry Birds Golf Experience Package (With Garry Chalk and Susan Blu)," where ticket holders play on the Angry Birds Mini Golf Course with none other than Garry Chalk and Susan Blu! Similar is the "Botcon 2023 Rollercoasters & Rides with Rattrap Experience Package (With Scott McNeil and Venus Terzo)," where ticket holders can go on some of the various rides at the Nickelodeon Universe section of the mall. It should be noted that both of these events are happening at the same time, so you can't do both of them even if you buy tickets for both. We need to spread the news quickly here, as so far NOBODY has bought tickets for these experiences, and BotCon is only 3 days away! We don't want Garry, Susan, Scott, and Venus to have no one to have fun with!

  3. With BotCon 2023 only a week away, here are a few more announcements before the convention starts.

First of all, for the first time in 7 years, the Custom Class figure will feature a brand new head sculpt! I think that we can all agree that Azim Venksta did an amazing job digitally sculpting and rendering it.

To all our crafty friends out there, we have a couple new Custom Class updates for you! Starting with a look at the NEW head sculpt for the Class figure! Digitally sculpted and rendered by the very talented Azim Venksta, the head represents a brand new take on a previously established character. Who is it? You’ll have to wait until the Class to find out!

The AM Class is Thursday, August 24 at 9:00am - 1:00pm. The PM Class is 2:00pm - 6:00pm. Both classes take place in the Dream Live area of the American Dream Mall. We can’t wait to see you there!

We're thrilled to announce the first two of our YouTuber/influencer guests: RodimusPrimal and Deluxe Baldwin! We're excited to have them on hand for the weekend and are looking forward to hearing what they have to say about the world of toy reveals, retrospectives, and video discussions!

And last but not least, Robosen themselves will be present at the convention! They will be presenting on the American Dream Main Stage sometime on Friday, and will be selling products in the Vendor Room.

Next week we will be spotlighting our numerous exhibitors for BotCon '23, but this one can't wait! Straight from Dinobot Island, we are thrilled to announce that one of our featured vendors is none other than Robosen, the company behind the all-new Flagship Grimlock figure. Robosen Grimlock is the world's first Dual-form, BiPedal walking robot!
Check out the amazing video again here and now and then in two weeks get ready to see this amazing masterpiece of robotics and engineering in person at BotCon '23!

  4. Following the attendee teaser, BotCon has posted images showcasing the two souvenir figures that will be available at the show:

    • "Terrascorcher Ground Leader," Scales - a repaint of BeastDrive BD-03 Naughty Saur
    • "Terrascorcher Skydiver Leader," Rodimouse - a repaint of a currently unnamed and unnumbered BeastDrive rat

Clearly the folks at BotCon and 52Toys are paying attention to the Transformers fandom, as "Rodimouse" has been a character long joked about. Images below.

  5. BotCon has just posted images for all of the members of this year's box set. This includes the following:

    • "The team captain," Magma - a repaint of BeastBox BB-51A Roarmeo
    • "The Lieutenant," Smolder - a repaint of BeastBox BB-51B Boney
    • "The Firefighter," Slagge - a repaint of BeastBox BB-51D Clawde
    • "Spotty McSpotterson," Spot - a repaint of BeastBox BB-51C Jawliet
    • The five combine into Dinostorm

Despite the individual members being canines, they combine into a dinosaur, leading to a very clever choice on BotCon's part to repaint the original BeastBox toys in Dinobot colors! Images below:

  6. If you want these, buy the Rise of Tyranny 2-pack from Amazon, and the Humble Origins 2-pack from Pulse (if it comes back in stock). The thing is, with Rise of Tyranny you're getting two voyagers for $70 on Pulse (reasonable) and with Humble Origins you're getting a deluxe and a voyager for $55 on Pulse (also reasonable). But Amazon got the prices swapped, so you're getting two voyagers for $55 on Amazon (an amazing deal) and a deluxe and a voyager for $70 on Amazon (a ripoff).

TL;DR buy Megs & Ratbat from Amazon and Shockwave & Orion from Pulse.
