  1. BotCon has just announced the date and location for their 2024 convention, which also marks their 30th anniversary! The convention will take place from June 27-30 at the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The hotel reservations are up, as well as tickets for vendors and artists. Exclusives and tickets are still TBA. Read more below:
  2. This thing was actually on display way back in June at the Battle in Brooklyn event promoting ROTB. I'm pretty sure that everyone at the event (including me) just assumed that it was a one-time thing that they were using to hold up the Robosen Elite Optimus.
  3. How's the quality on these? I've been thinking about getting one for a while now, but the reviews are . . . mixed. Some say that they are amazing and are a drastic improvement over the original, while others say that they broke out of the box.
  4. BotCon has more and more announcements for us before the convention begins! There is now a full list of all company vendors and artists that will be there, which can be found below: More content creators have been announced, including TMReviews and Diecast from RFC Reviews. Oh, and BotCon has posted two MORE ticket packages on Agabyss. These are two different experience packages with different voice actors. One is the "Botcon 2023 Angry Birds Golf Experience Package (With Garry Chalk and Susan Blu)," where ticket holders play on the Angry Birds Mini Golf Course with none other than Garry Chalk and Susan Blu! Similar is the "Botcon 2023 Rollercoasters & Rides with Rattrap Experience Package (With Scott McNeil and Venus Terzo)," where ticket holders can go on some of the various rides at the Nickelodeon Universe section of the mall. It should be noted that both of these events are happening at the same time, so you can't do both of them even if you buy tickets for both. We need to spread the news quickly here, as so far NOBODY has bought tickets for these experiences, and BotCon is only 3 days away! We don't want Garry, Susan, Scott, and Venus to have no one to have fun with!
  5. With BotCon 2023 only a week away, here are a few more announcements before the convention starts. First of all, for the first time in 7 years, the Custom Class figure will feature a brand new head sculpt! I think that we can all agree that Azim Venksta did an amazing job digitally sculpting and rendering it. Next, special guest announcements were finished up. Look forward to meeting Scott McNeil, Garry Chalk, Simon Furman, Bob Budiansky, Dick Terhune, Susan Blu, Venus Terzo, Jessica Digiovanni, Travis Artz, Jaime Lamchick, Laurie Hymes, Ryan Andes, Jeremy Levy, Benson Yee, and Geoffrey The Giraffe! Yes, the Toys "R" Us mascot. In the artist alley will be Candice N. Santora and Robby Musso! Autograph and selfie prices for each guest can be found on https://www.botcon.com/2023-guests Additionally, the full BotCon 2023 schedule is now available, both on https://www.botcon.com/2023-schedule or below: Information for the Cosplay Contest has also been posted, and can be found below. Some might notice on the schedule a "Podcasters & Youtubers Panel." Two of the people that will be appearing on this panel have been announced, that being RodimusPrimal and Deluxe Baldwin. Hopefully more podcasters and Youtubers will be announced soon. And last but not least, Robosen themselves will be present at the convention! They will be presenting on the American Dream Main Stage sometime on Friday, and will be selling products in the Vendor Room.
  6. If you flip out the trailer stands in Super Mode, they look like the knee cannons from the original toy.
  7. I don't have SG Grimlock, but I kinda want a tiny version of X-Transbots Nelson.
  8. Following the attendee teaser, BotCon has posted images showcasing the two souvenir figures that will be available at the show: "Terrascorcher Ground Leader," Scales - a repaint of BeastDrive BD-03 Naughty Saur "Terrascorcher Skydiver Leader," Rodimouse - a repaint of a currently unnamed and unnumbered BeastDrive rat Clearly the folks at BotCon and 52Toys are paying attention to the Transformers fandom, as "Rodimouse" has been a character long joked about. Images below.
  9. After revealing the box set, BotCon has posted one more image on their exclusives page, showing a 52Toys Box Charger repainted in what appears to be energon cube colors, along with the caption "Teaser: Attendee Incentive Figure."
  10. My first thought was a G1-ified Leobreaker. They're jumping into Cybertron stuff, and it would be really cool if it was able to combine with Galaxy Upgrade Prime somehow.
  11. BotCon has just posted images for all of the members of this year's box set. This includes the following: "The team captain," Magma - a repaint of BeastBox BB-51A Roarmeo "The Lieutenant," Smolder - a repaint of BeastBox BB-51B Boney "The Firefighter," Slagge - a repaint of BeastBox BB-51D Clawde "Spotty McSpotterson," Spot - a repaint of BeastBox BB-51C Jawliet The five combine into Dinostorm Despite the individual members being canines, they combine into a dinosaur, leading to a very clever choice on BotCon's part to repaint the original BeastBox toys in Dinobot colors! Images below:
  12. Love that he can pull SS-44's trailer! Might have to get another SS Prime . . .
  13. BotCon has posted numerous guest updates, including Simon Furman, Bob Budiansky, Dick Terhune, and the legendary Gary Chalk! More details available on BotCon's guest page.
  14. If you want these, buy the Rise of Tyranny 2-pack from Amazon, and the Humble Origins 2-pack from Pulse (if it comes back in stock). The thing is, with Rise of Tyranny you're getting two voyagers for $70 on Pulse (reasonable) and with Humble Origins you're getting a deluxe and a voyager for $55 on Pulse (also reasonable). But Amazon got the prices swapped, so you're getting two voyagers for $55 on Amazon (an amazing deal) and a deluxe and a voyager for $70 on Amazon (a ripoff). TL;DR buy Megs & Ratbat from Amazon and Shockwave & Orion from Pulse.
  15. Big news today, as BotCon has shared ticket info as well as our first look at the BotCon 2023 convention exclusive box set. Tickets are available here: https://www.agabyss.com/botcon/ And for those of you wondering about the box set, it is still a set of four BeastBox toys produced by company 52Toys. Image below.
  16. Still no info on tickets, but BotCon has posted an update about a very special guest. The one and only Scott McNeil will be attending BotCon this year! View the tweet below for more info:
  17. It's a 3D printed design by Hightail Creations. I love how creative this is, and he says files will be uploaded tomorrow. For more information, see his YouTube video below:
  18. BotCon has posted two new updates on their socials related to the upcoming 2023 event. First, when asked about ticket pricing, they replied saying it will be available in April. Additionally, they said the convention box set will be revealed next month, along with a possible sneak peek at the box art?
  19. I'm not really sure how everyone missed this. I couldn't find anything about it on any other big news websites, and it was posted on BotCon's website two days ago! The convention will be held at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Anyways, here is the post with all the details and hotel registration links:
  20. I was thinking that Scraphook might be a constructicon. Hasbro could go the route of third-party companies like Magic Square and Newage and release the constructicons in the form of three two-packs. "Scraphook" could be a way of saying "Scrapper and Hook." Also, a two-pack might be the reason for it being the only listing without a size class.
