  1. This is a really fun figure with some great molded detail. The transformation is simple but has a few unique steps to it.
  2. The new AOE Constructbots sets feature new builds with improved parts that allow for better articulation and a tighter connection between the frame and armor parts. The Dino Riders are really fun and may end up being a popular sub line going foward.
  3. Bonus points if you can guess why I paired these two together. I say it a lot but the micro change line has really upped its game in terms of build and parts count with the more recent waves. While Demolishor is just really good Cyclonus is fantastic and should be one of the first figures you buy.
  4. Just got these in today and I had to share. These are fantastic Kreon representations of Kup and Rodimus and have really ingenious vehicle mode builds as well. Highly recommended.
  5. Well folks it's that time of the year again. I have to say Salty was probably the most lucid he's been in awhile. Hopefully this video gets to you in enough time to find the perfect gift for the ones you love, or just really like!
  6. Wow. The later wave Kreons have really kicked it up a notch. While Beachcomber isn't the best, and some of the parts are hard to disassemble, it's definitely worth a place in your collection.
  7. Before there was Optimus, there was Orion! Finally we get an official Orion Pax figure that isn't a Japanese exclusive repaint. Transformation is fairly straight forward, yes that torso part scares me too, that gives us a great representation of the IDW design.
  8. Many people consider Bumblebee to be the worst figure of the first wave. I have to disagree, but out of 4 figures it's hard to put him in the fourth spot. I think this version of the character is a great blend of movie and classic designs. I would recommend picking this version of the mold up over the Goldfire retool.
  9. At first I was hoping this would be a new direction for the Constructbots line but ended up being more of what we've come to expect. Although it has a new transformation, at the core it's the same figure as any other Constructbot. I do like the look and think this is better than some Predakings we've gotten I can only recommend it if you find it at retail.
  10. I think the TFCC saved the best for last. Ultra Mammoth is just a fun figure and you really don't get to many of those nowadays. Yes the transformation is a bit fiddly but robot mode is awesome. I can highly recommend getting at least one version of this mold.
  11. I think Inferno would have benefited from being released in a later wave and thus came with more parts to build a better vehicle mode. As it is robot mode is the stand out and that's how I'll display the figure.
  12. While I've always been impressed with most of the vehicle builds from this line the Vehicon is the first one to really make me sit up and take notice. Using the Windcharger build as a base template the Vehicon becomes one of the most solid vehicle builds in the line thus far. Also with the extra parts I feel I'm really getting my money's worth.
  13. I have to say that Hound is probably my favorite Constructbot thus far. It really does look like a complete vehicle mode and I like how the weapon is integrated into vehicle mode. Pick this one up.
  14. Out of all the figures in FSS 1.0 Jackpot was the one I wasn't sure about. I never had the mold nor was I that familiar with the character. I was pleasantly surprised with the end results; a well painted figure that has a unique look all it's own.
  15. At first I thought the single pack release of Optimus Prime would be the same figure as the two pack but with a lot less parts. I was pleasantly surprised to find a new head and translucent bits. Sure the transformation is the same, and yes it's the same size as all the others, but if you're a fan of the line and of Optimus Prime this figure is worth the look.
  16. This little Kreon is probably the closest we will get to perfect transformation in this line. Fun figure that I can fully recommend.
  17. By now most people who are interested know the score with Constructbots; segmented skeletons that feature interchangeable armor parts. They are all the same size and Transform the same way. With that said Thundercracker is a unique take on the classic character at a price point I can recommend.
  18. Part of the Generations Ultimate Gift set, as well as being available at Toys R Us as a single carded figure, Motorbreath is a repaint/remold of Legends G1 Optimus Prime. Besides a darker color scheme that closely resembles G1 Motormaster, the figure comes with a black sword that again gives a nod to the G1 Stunticon leader. If you are interested in the figure I would recommend going the gift set route as there's more bang for your buck there.
  19. After the disappointment I experienced with the Samurai team I was hesitant to dive into the Ninja team since I was expecting more of the same. I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised with the figures. Sensuimaru gives slightly more than a nod to the legendary Brave series figure Captain Shark but stands alone as it's own figure. Sure there are some faults with how it looks but overall it's a fine figure and works well with the rest of the team.
  20. Holiday gift sets are slowly becoming the norm in the Transformers world. Combat Hero Optimus Prime is layered with homages to the Primes of the G2 era. If you really like this mold I can highly recommend it.
  21. Shakedown, take down, Breakdown; you're busted! Probably one of the more obvious additions to wave 1 of the FSS Breakdown is a straight repaint in G1 colors of the BotCon exclusive G2 Breakdown which is a remold/repaint of Generations Sideswipe. Yup, that's a lot of uses for one mold.
  22. In terms of all the little insider nods I think this set is a little better than the previous three released. I find the Starscream figure to be a touch better than Megatron, Prime or Bumblebee. Unfortunately Waspinator falls a little short as the soft plastic used to make him really doesn't work well.
  23. This is a fun little duo that homages many eras in Transformers history. Definitely worth the pick up
  24. This is a fantastic redeco of the Prime Knock Out mold. The new weapon is like icing on an already green cake. If you get a chance pick this figure up!
  25. Well it's bright, that's a good start. This rainbow sorbet of transforming wonder is a recolor of the HFTD Axor mold. How does it work for this Action Master homage? Find out below!
