  1. This is, in my opinion, the best news about Transformers: The Last Knight we've gotten so far. Hound, the Autobot commando played to such great effect by John Goodman, is officially confirmed as returning for TF5! The fat ballerina who takes scalps and slits throats has been redesigned just like the rest of the Autobots, and appears to now be a medic, or at least wearing one's gear. Keep reading to see! Read the Full News Story Here
  2. There've been some pretty spectacular Combiner Wars customs of late - the innovative Raiden that made a 6-part combiner in the format comes to mind. Now, a Japanese Twitter user by the name of @nekogami_red has made the Transformers Prime Decepticons into a combiner! Knock Out, Skyquake, Dreadwing, Airachnid (gotta have a helicopter in there somewhere or it's not Combiner Wars, right?), and Megatron combine to form a body for Unicron! Click through to see the photos. Read the Full News Story Here
  3. August 8th marks the thirtieth anniversary of the release of The Transformers: The Movie! And for that occasion RAC posts his memories of seeing the film and considers its all-reaching influence on subsequent Transformers stories. Keep reading! Read the Full News Story Here
  4. Now that his memory card meltdown has been conquered, RAC has posted an "unboxing" video (kinda - the original unboxing got melted) and general preview for the Combiner Wars Technobots! Scattershot, Afterbreaker/Afterburner, Strafe, Lightspeed/Lightsteed, Nosecone, Scrounge, and Cybaxx combine to form Computron, last boxset to be sold under the Combiner Wars brand and penultimate US Combiner release! How's it look? What's in the box? How about those new hands and feet? Click through to watch! Read the Full News Story Here
  5. The batinthesun YouTube channel has posted a behind the scenes video highlighting the Combiner Wars animated series' voice actors! Two people associated with the channel have taken the roles of Megatron and Maxima, and both of them were clearly thrilled to be able to participate in Transformers as actors. We also get some brief glimpses of later episodes of the series. Keep reading to check out the video! Read the Full News Story Here
  6. Hisashi Yuki has posted another envy-provoking photo of upcoming Takara products: this time we have LG-31 Fortress Maximus hanging out with the TakaraTomy release of Metroplex! Standing side by side it's easy to see how many pieces the pair share. Keep reading to see! Read the Full News Story Here
  7. Computron is the second combiner to have dedicated hands and feet - Victorion being the first - but unlike Victorion there's no particularly elegant way to store those hands and feet on the team leader. But you do have some options! We'll take a look at the new parts and what you can do with them after the jump. Read the Full News Story Here
  8. RAC's got Computron! The last boxset to be released under the Combiner Wars brand, the Technobots are very different from Takara's impending take on the team. Also unique to the Hasbro version is Scrounge, the very first toy of the G1 Marvel character! We've also confirmed the name of Scrounge's Mini-Con, Cybaxx! Keep reading for a ninety-image preview of the boxset, and check back soon for more videos, photos, and reviews! Read the Full News Story Here
  9. Luke Y. Thompson has interviewed Hasbro's John Warden for Forbes, and Warden had some interesting things to say and hints to drop about what 2017 has in store for Transformers. The Last Knight, of course -- but is Titans Return going to stop for the films, or run concurrently? And what about how the toymaker is looking at the renewed interest in their other `80s properties from the film and comic worlds? Keep reading to see! Read the Full News Story Here
  10. TFExpo has let us know that their successful charity auction will be returning for TFExpo 2016, happening this weekend in Wichita, Kansas! Celebrity guest Michael Bell will be on hand to emcee the auction, whose proceeds will benefit K-9 Karma Animal Advocates Inc., a pet rescue operation in Wichita. The auction will then be followed by a theatrical showing of The Transformers: The Movie! Click on through for more details. Read the Full News Story Here
  11. The first episode of Machinima's Combiner Wars animated series is up now on the go90 website! US residents, at least, can watch the show via the website without having to install the app. The episodes are Tartakovsky Clone Wars style, so this'll only take up five minutes of your time, more or less. The video can't be embedded, so keep reading for a link! Read the Full News Story Here
  12. Clobber is a T-Rex in silver, gold, and a dark metallic color. Stop me if you're heard this one... But while the Crashbash mold is great on its own, the Grimlock homage is damaged a bit by paint/plastic mismatch. Click here to read and watch the review! Read the Full News Story Here
  13. Paramount UK just released an image that we've seen elsewhere in real life on billboards and such - but now those of us who don't live near said billboards get a closer look! Showing Optimus Prime facing off against a nondescript alien menace, the background shows, among other things, an Earth city with a Decepticon flag over it. Or is it? There's a large "V" over the Decepticon sigil, signifying a new subgroup or perhaps entirely new faction. Keep reading to see! Read the Full News Story Here
  14. RAC continues his reviews and photos for Titan Masters Wave 2! Clobber is, save for his coloring and faceplate, a straight-up reuse of Crashbash. Fortunately, Crashbash was great and so, for the most part is Clobber. But his Grimlock face is a bit of a color mismatch for the gunmetal plastic of the rest of his head mode... Keep reading for 45 images of a chicken/war turkey that turns into a T-Rex and a Dinobot head! Read the Full News Story Here
  15. The MakeToys Cross Dimension Facebook page has posted new images of the MTCD-02 Despotron figure! A stylized take on Megatron, the figure seems to sport a fusion cannon and two attachments that can be used in a variety of ways to enhance the weapon. Also a sword! Keep reading to see the images mirrored here! Read the Full News Story Here
  16. Onward into Titan Masters Wave 2! Skytread inherits Terri-Bull's vehicle and Titan Master body but has a new face and color scheme all his own, both derived from G1 Duocon Flywheels. He's really good, but if you already have Terri-Bull, it'll come down to your relationship with completism and how badly you want a (really nice, admittedly!) Flywheels head. Click here to read and watch the review! Read the Full News Story Here
  17. Radio Free Cybertron's John DeLuna has gotten his Subscription Service Bludgeon! As is customary, John is posting a ton of high-quality pictures of the figure, a remold of Combiner Wars Voyager Class Onslaught with new weapons, head, and combiner head. Keep reading to see! Read the Full News Story Here
  18. Hasbro was kind enough as to provide us with yet more official photos from the Cybertron Con 2016 reveals, this time of the Rise of Rodimus Prime set! This set, the most recent in a series of Platinum Edition sets celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie, includes a Matrix of Leadership, a new release of Universe 2008 Galvatron, and Titaniums Rodimus Prime of all things. Keep reading to see! Read the Full News Story Here
  19. Formerly known as the Duocon Flywheels, Skytread has gone from a tank that combines with a jet to a tank that becomes one. He's got a really good headsculpt that works well with the Titan Master body type, but is a little tough to press down into the jet. Keep reading to see RAC's 42-image gallery of the Titan Master set! Read the Full News Story Here
  20. TakaraTomyMall has posted official photos of their Transformers Adventure releases for September: Windblade and Nemesis Prime! Windblade is colored in a much less "Super Saiyan God" kind of color scheme than the RID Warrior Class figure, and looks far more like herself. Nemesis Prime is based on the Warrior Class version of Power Surge Optimus Prime, and looks pretty decent all around! Black recolors they may be, but Nemeses Prime tend to be pretty. Keep reading to see the images mirrored here. Read the Full News Story Here
  21. Autobase Aichi has collected more photos of Cybertron Con from Weibo! Presumably still in the setup phase, the con has some interesting displays and art pieces on hand - but what you are likely more interested in is the presence of Titans Return Leader-Class Sixshot on the Generations display table! Hasbro's getting really good at parceling out reveals to their various conventions and shows, so it shouldn't surprise us too much that the official Chinese Transformers con gets at least one. Keep reading to see! Read the Full News Story Here
  22. Thanks to Unicron.com for the heads-up! Hasbro Pulse has posted a PDF version of the Titans Return Storybook, The Power Of The Titan Masters that was given away at SDCC 2016! This storybook/comic/catalog gives bios for almost every Titan Master and Titans Return Generations figure, as well as some excellent retro-styled art spreads showing the figures in action. Keep reading for a description and a link! Read the Full News Story Here
  23. Michael Bay has shared a photo and a name on Twitter and Flickr of another new Transformer to be seen in Transformers: The Last Knight! The large green Western Star truck previously seen in on-set photos from various sources now has a name: Onslaught! Bay has made the photo available in various sizes, and we've mirrored it here for convenience. Keep reading to see! Read the Full News Story Here
  24. So perhaps you saw my review of Wheelie on Monday, where I hoped that the Legends Series version of Wheelie might have better parts fit to go with the better paint. No word on that yet, of course - but what it definitely does have that I forgot, is Headmaster Goshooter, based on the mold for Titan Masters Loudmouth! Keep reading this article to see them mirrored here in repose, as shot by TakaraTomy's Hisashi Yuki. Read the Full News Story Here
  25. Autobase Aichi has shared images from the (currently inaccessible) 52toys Weibo account of the setup phase of Cybertron Con 2016! Most notably is the person-sized Fortress Maximus, complete with what look like working slides on the front of the city-mode Titan. It's a really impressive piece! Keep reading for the photos and more details on Cybertron Con! Read the Full News Story Here
