  1. Might you be thinking of nail polish remover? That'll ruin the plastic. I swear by the nail polish method, along with using varying types of nail polishes in place of paints, and haven't seen any plastic warping. (Only time I had an issue, was when I accidently re-assembled a limb while the polish was wet, which seized up the joint when it dried.)
  2. :agree I think OWN can't get any traction, every time I see it on the channel guide, it's like a marathon of non-stop Dr. Phil reruns. :tflaugh Just for that reason alone, I think the Hub is doing fine. There's a much more varied programming line up, and the fact they're producing new seasons and series (Pound Puppies Season 2 is getting advertising, as is a new Care Bears series) is a good sign as well. I wouldn't see running TF Prime without a break as a sign of the network failing, either. Just a sign that the production schedule is running pretty well on track.
  3. Given the option of pricing for Takara's MP10 vs Hasbro's MP10: $250+ to buy Optimus with a trailer, or $100 to buy Optimus with a trailer. I feel absolutely fine with the price. :thumb It's much better treatment than how Hasbro handled the Rodimus release. The extra Targetmaster was great, but yeah...I still kind of want that the camper attachment, but don't feel like double-dipping to get a 'full' figure. Ditto with Optimus. I just hope Hasbro doesn't botch it up and end up cancelling the dern thing, as I'm holding off on picking up the Movie Trilogy Optimus Prime w/Trailer in favor of MP10.
  4. :redface Never personally. I wanted to buy stuff from them for years, but the feedback I'd find each time I'd be tempted to place an order would scare/chase me away.
  5. For future reference, since this actually isn't a kitbash, but a kitbashing method, it might be better to post in the "Workbench" section. :thumb But what an interesting method, a little bit more work than super glue or nail polish. First I've heard of it.
  6. Kabaya actually isn't involved with these. They're done by Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. A.R.T.S seems to be a branch of Takara-Tomy dedicated to trading figures, gachapon-type and smaller toy-type & collectable items, with Takara Tomy being dedicated to the "big toys".
  7. True, but this is hypothetical...so why not? :tflaugh Sure hope this means you're getting Bot Shots Prowl. He's redeco'd from Bot Shots Barricade. :thumb
  8. Are we talking about strictly G1 designs, or would the Generations updated designs be in play? If so, I think I could see a G1 Knockout be more a mixture of elements from Gens/RTS Wheeljack/Tracks.
  9. I like Puma's answer for it's simplicity. :tflaugh Lesee... my wishlist for 2013 Generations would be: Cyberverse: Reissue the Micromaster bases for use w/ Cyberverse Commander class Sharkticon (Or legion, if it's done awesome like Prime Cliffjumper.) Deluxe: Cosmos G1 Galvatron G1 Sharkticon G1 Triplechangers Etc: single packed HA-style figures, representing Diaclone, G1, BW, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Animated & Prime 'human' casts. Apex Prime / God Ginrai Skylynx (Either made up of two Scout classes for Deluxe class, or two Deluxes for Voyager class.) FOC Dinobots (Deluxe or Voyager. Prefer there be a smaller Sharkticon, so Grimlock can step on them.) Think that about sums up my wishlist of want to sees.
  10. I've had this kicking about in my wishlist for a while, but haven't got around to ordering it. Might be worth a shot, too. Green Tea Organic Toy Cleaner @ The Container Store
  11. I so agree with this. You would figure that with the Club Being the exclusive club of Transformers that they would get all the News and such. Yet Fanpub/club is a major let down. This is a rare event in that I'll defend FunPub. Did FunPub pull some major f'ups, yes. Won't deny that. They should of had their license pulled for shoddy security. However, on the subject of breaking news in regards to Transformers, they can only do that if Hasbro lets them. Even if FunPub loses the club license and someone else takes over, the club will still be in the same spot if Hasbro decides to release news and big reveals to other outlets (IGN, SD/NYCC) over their own official club.
  12. :agree These tricks Another option to consider for light dusting (if you don't want to used canned air), is a squeeze duster for cleaning camera lenses. It's basically just a hand pump that blows air, and dislodges dust. I love using it for camera, keyboard and whatever I can clear off. That said, I think something that works on a more permanent basis, like a vacuum and a swiffer brush might be a better idea in a long run, since you actually want to get rid of the dust, instead of just displacing it.
  13. When I said "down" I didn't mean you couldn't post in it at all. I was referring to Hellscream's issue that the attachments aren't working and haven't been for some time. Oh. I see. You could of stated that, instead of making it seem like the entire section was down. Though, it would of worked against your agenda of advertising TFW. :tflaugh I'm also quite aware that the attachments haven't been working, as I reported it April 9th. :thumb Consider me third to recommend Photobucket (or even Flickr) for photo hosting until the attachment issue is sorted. Would love to see the custom works, Hellscream. (Just as long as I don't have to go to TFW to see them. ;) ) :thumb
  14. The Garage has been down? I saw some posts as recent as of April 21st. They removed that gallery nonsense, so you should be able to create a new topic. If that doesn't work, there's also the Workbench for WIPs.
  15. I'm kind of not surprised Botcon was tepid, in terms of reveals. It seems like Hasbro splits it up between Toy Fair, Botcon, and then the really big reveals for SDCC. Got to admit, I'm surprised Hasbro let Robot Kingdom display the 3rd party reveals. Did anyone do anything around Dallas while at Botcon, or was it Con and back home?
  16. I don't exactly see how you're getting "mystery figures" from TFCC Subscription service. You're making it seem like they're random packed, with possibilities of getting duplicate figures. Can you provide a source for this, as I'm fairly sure there's likely a misunderstanding here? Anyhow, my understanding of the subscription is this: You have 3 to 4 week period to sign up, you can make a payment in one lump sum, or break it into payments. You get all 6 figures, and instead of opting for fancy packaging, they're shipped in typical Hasbro packaging (or possibly a baggy ala Runamuck) + protective non-decorative box.
  17. Soundblaster. Means we'll be getting a black deco, not a G1 Blaster redeco.
  18. the Human Alliance toys were Voyagers? Never knew that. I think I mostly kept up to date on the new mold HAs, with an exception of Soundwave and the repainted versions. I don't really have much reaction to the line, as I've pretty much kept them boxed up. :tflaugh I did buy a second Jazz when I spotted him at Ross/TJ Maxx, to open up. He's a great figure.
  19. Sorry, you're good. My response was to ShadowPanther. I should of snipped out your quote. :thumb I understand that. I shorthand Action Masters down to AM, too. :tflaugh
  20. I'm confused,is Takara calling this "TF Prime Arms micron"? or is takara calling this Arms micron? is the extra added TF Prime thing stuff americans are adding? or is takara really using 4 words to name their recent TF toy line? What's there to be confused about? AM/Arms Micron is the mainline figure class, as EZ is the Cyberverse class. Overall, the series is still Transformers Prime.
  21. I've been having an issue with attaching images since the 9th of April. http://forums.TFormers.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=136656&pid=1642500&st=0entry1642500 That said, checking out the Flickr link, he looks quite nice. Is it a scratch build, or a heavily modified G1 Megatron?
  22. Did that really happen in the comic? :tflaugh I sure do hate the idea of the original Dinobots being a combiner team, as well. The only way I could accept Hasbro doing the Dinobots as a "combiner", is to make the figure components, with intentions of redeco/remolding into the Dinoforce group. This way, the Dinobots would work as stand alone figures, and then for the Dinoforce, come up with a new Dinoforce deco specific figure that allows the entire group to combine...but even then, Dinobots and Dinoforce are too dissimilar to actually work in this method.
  23. Years ago,it was reported by sources that the AEC cartoons were not one season long cartoons series. Armada had a few seasons, energon had a few seasons, cybertron had a few seasons. Clearly in the Armada, energon & cybertron cartoon series. we got tacked on plots & arcs that got created after the episodes kept progressing. we got closure on some plots/arcs as each season ended & openings on newer tacked on plots/arcs as newer seasons started. Needs an eyeroll emoticon, though I guess :doh or :wtf will do in a pinch. A story arc does not equal a season, unless it's specifically advertised and released as such by the station / production studio (which in the case of Armada and Energon, it wasn't.) That said, the way Hasbro decided to rebrand the series at the halfway points during Armada and Energon, I can see where the "season" confusion can come from. Since Energon is intended as an actual continuation from Armada, the second half of Energon with the subtitle, would seem like a season 4. Do we have any liscensed official proof regarding Armada being or not being divided up into seasons. Do we have any liscensed official proof of energon being or not being divided into seasons. do we have any liscensed official proof of cybertron being or not being divided into seasons. Having various TF cartoon series being sold as complete series, doesn't automatically mean it's one long season. we've had plenty of TF Cartoon series sold as complete series & sold by the seasons at the same time. we even had the UK & Japan sell the entire Japanese exclusive three G-1 series(headmasters, masterforce & victory) as one gigantic ultimate japanese complete trio series. we've had the usa generation one cartoon that consisted of 98 episodes sold by the complete 98 episodes series,by the seasons & by the volumes. You're slipping if you're going to respond with questions like that. :tflaugh My point is, look at Transformers Prime. It's being produced, advertised and shown as seasonal series. Armada, Energon, and Cybertron was each produced as a single season. There was no advertised season finales or season premieres, in the way G1, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Animated and Prime had.
