  1. Pardon my ignorance, but this is the Voyager one right? And you found him on a store? Yes I did, and in Michigan of all places. All the local retailers did a major restock on all TF's currently there are a few stores in my area that are flooded with Prid Rumble and Kup's, also some Soundwaves and Airachnids, I went to a few after work, only saw one RID Vehicon though for all the Prime figures that just made it onto shelves, but one store in particular had just put out a fresh case of FOC Voyagers, I passed on Soundwave simply because he won't be as pain in the ass to find later (3 to a case of 4). My Tru only had GDO Voyager Megatron and RID Voyager Megatron, though they did have the FOC data disc two-packs which I passed on since they're in my next shipment from TFsource.
  2. Just picked up FOC Soundblaster, while not perfect, and full of aesthetic issues, it's not a bad mold, I will be picking Soundwave, and probably 2 Blasters so I can repaint one of them into Twincast. I think my number one complaint is that the design of the chest makes it appear that he has a deceptively long torso, however Blaster's retooled chest addresses that little nitpick of mine quite nicely. Loving the minions, just great little additions that really adds to the entire FOC collection, gonna have to do a checklist to see how many more figures are still to come from the quoted 40 Generations figs in 2012/13.
  3. Just picked up Prime Ultra Magnus on sale $17.99 at target (making him literally $1 more expensive than deluxe Bumblebee) hopefully I can get around to converting him into Pyro in 2013, lol
  4. Arms Micron Achy Breakdown Cyrus(Silas Breakdown) 07 movie Wreckage 07 movie Hardtop Korean Galaxy Force Big Gunner (CD Red Alert) Arms Micron Jiga TFC Iron Army sets A+B PCC Smolder (it was either him or Darkray, needed something to go with Iron Army) Now I Won't be able to see them again until christmas :-(
  5. Just received 07 Big Daddy, Groovy! Also in today is Thundertron, I only got him so I could make a custom Weirdwolf, and I'm thankful that the beast head is kind of a cross between feline and canine features, makes it easier to convert him into a Nebulan Wolf mode. Looks like for the most part I just need to remove the "mane" and add in some doggy ears, lol
  6. From yesterday: FP Assaulter: what can I say? Amazing figure and a great update for Broadside, while none of his transformations are convincing as earth modes, frankly I just don't care because he's such a badass! United Windcharger and Wipeout: thanks for making my old RTS Windcharger look like crap Takara, lol Headrobots Cenurion: I STILL DON'T OWN A FORT MAX! Oh well the sword and these little bots are awesome, though the US version was missing Spike's face DOTM Hatchet: finally broke down and got him as an add on for free shipping, love this little guy!
  7. Today I received Grind Rod and Assault Force X from TFSource. Grind Rod is just amazing, I know that Aurora turned a lot of people off from the Toyworld Throttlebots, my question is why? Grind Rod is absolutely amazing, all the little details that pre-release photography didn't show just make me even more excited for future Toyworld releases. The headsculpt is perfect, and when he catches the light just right (difficult because of the "hood") he lightpipes better than most hasbro releases. If Aurora turned you off then skip that one, but get Grind Rod, like Hegemon he's possibly the closest representation to the G1 character he's based on that we will ever see. I will be getting Aurora, mostly because the more I mess with Grind Rod and look at the preview image for Aurora on his box, the more Aurora is growing on me. On another note, it seems that the problems some people have had with a very loose hip assembly isn't a widespread issue, mine is perfect and quite tight, no floppy legs. Now Assault Force X, basically if you loved Scouting Force X (like me) then there's not much to say about these guys, Perfect effect did an outstanding job with the retooling and all-new headsculpts. I love these guys and even after buying both sets (AFX and SFX) I feel they were well worth getting both, I now have animation, and Toy accurate Reflector teams (that each come with enough weapons to make Rambo blush). Also love the freebie mini-reflector camera, I don't think it would have killed them to at least add a sticker sheet with it, but it still looks pretty wicked with TRU Masterpiece Thundercracker holding it.
  8. Got my Superalloy Survivalist Wheelie today, not the greatest Third party figure, not the worst either though. Word of advice if you're planning on picking him up, do not display in vehicle mode (which is literally listed on the instruction sheet as "vehicle mode?")it has horrible gaps at just about all robot mode joints, rolls rather well though oddly (another thing that bugs me is the windshield, if this were a real car on the road then how the hell could anyone see out the front when the dashboard would sit 5 ft up from the drivers seat?). Robot mode displays well, it doesn't offer a wide range of articulation, and dynamic poses (or just about any) are completely out of the question. My biggest gripe has got to be the hands and head, the hands have EXTREMELY tiny holes, so small I can only get him to hold the guns from the G1 Constructicons, and the head seems huge by comparison to the rest of the body. My next goal is to grab up a GDO Wheelie and do some part-swapping so he'll have a new head, hands, and a weapon. All in all I can't recommend this guy to everyone, I like it but I was still disappointed by it's severe limitations.
  9. It's been two days since I received my MP Prime, and I must say this is truly the ultimate Optimus Prime figure! While he lacks the wrist communicators that MP-01 had, he surely makes up for it with his more anime inspired headsculpt, and better proportioned body. I do wish the blue was more of a middleground between the Hasbro and Takara releases, since it's just a tad bright, but it's a minor complaint as the figure itself is just plain beautiful. Come on MP-17 Megatron, MP-18 Star Saber, MP-19 Galvatron, MP-20 Dai Atlas, MP-21 Deathsaurus, and MP-22 Sunstreaker!
  10. Someone should post a pic of Laserbeak's pre-earth mode from the cartoon, pretty spot-on!
  11. Just got my MP-12 in today! LOVE!!!! THIS!!!! FIGURE!!!! Yes, he's smaller than previous MP's standing at a solid Voyager size, however he's just sooooo pretty, lol. Partner him up with PP05 and we've got an ass kicking pair of Autobots that are ready to roll! Can't wait for Soundwave and Red Alert (based on more recent photo's it appears Red Alert has more retooled parts on him that a simple Lightbar addition to better match Red Alert's animated character model, which was visually distinctive from Sideswipe in many ways) his guns are gorgeous, and everything about him feels solid, transformation is fun and not too difficult so don't worry about him suffering from an overly convoluted (and in some past cases scary because of the threat of breaking an integral piece of the figure) transformation. Sideswipe is a Prime example of Takara's new vision in the MP line: Make Kickass renditions of our favorite classic characters while staying true to both the toys and media that fans were introduced to, Sideswipe gets that message across and then some. Received the last two Crazydevy upgrades for my Hercules, the Giant Gun, and Purple barrel. The gun is coll, and it doesn't look nearly as out of proportion in Herc's hand as the initial product pics make it look, I was a little disappointed by the Purple barrel parts since in order to attach them I had to unscrew all of the green barrel parts and then screw the CD barrel parts on the weapon pods, just a LOT of work for something so expensive, however looking at Herc fully upgraded I couldn't care lees about the labor. The final piece I received is also technically an upgrade for Hercules as well, AMW-10 Arms Micron G. How is this an upgrade for Herc you ask? Well back in the dying days of G1 the Actionmasters were released, Devastator received the treatment, and gained an actionmaster partner, a robotic Scorpion named Scorpulator that (sort of) transformed into a gun for The non-transformable Devastator, so since Arms Micron G is also a robotic scorpion that transforms into a (sort of) gun, he's perfect as an homage to G1 Scorpulator. He mounts rather nicely on Devy's wrist if I may also add. I forgot this earlier so here's my impression on Art Feather G1 Bumblebee animation version. This is a really nice figure, though he does end up with a rather sizable backpack of kibble which unfortunaly does not clip in anywhere, same with the chest too, I still love this figure though, and he actually looks pretty nice next to MP Sideswipe. One thing no one seems to have noticed is that he actually has an all new headsculpt, based more on his cartoon appearances than the original classics version.
  12. I still need to get that figure, I always pictured him as Rattrap's kid brother, lol
  13. My Art Feather Bumblebee G1 version in today, just wow! The packaging is just beautiful, I know this will be the last Bumblebee I ever buy (unless Takara puts out an MP at some point), the Spike statue is a nice touch, comes with a gun, and two alternate hands. I'l give my full impression on this gorgeous piece later, but it's a beautiful re-shell of the classics mold, the VW mode looks perfect. I've been extremely disillusioned by modern Bumblebee hordes, however the G1 character always held a special place for me, based on an in-box impression this is a buy!
  14. Marvel TF War Machine Sports car, The only reason I grabbed this up was to make a custom classics style Triggerbot Backstreet. Not a bad figure in it's own right, the head is my biggest complaint, from the POV of a customizer it's the biggest pain in the ass about any TF's Glued together head with an internal peg, drives me nuts!
  15. FINALLY got my Mini-Warriors from TFSource today, what can I say about these guys that hasn't been said? The price hike was very justified and IMO based on just how large these guys are compared to Rager and Spray a rather small one, so everyone bitching about them being more expensive than the previous MW's just shut up and buy these, they ARE worth it. I did notice that UFO has an assembly error in which the feet are swapped, however it's nothing a phillips head screwdriver can't fix. Also just in is iGear Delicate Warrior, just wow, if you were on the fence about another G1 style 3rd party Arcee after the crap pile that was Valkyrie then take my word for it, there will never be a better representation of our G1 fembot, pick this up while you can, the cab even has a steering wheel!
  16. Hegemon really is one of the all-time greatest third party figs to hit the market today, I'm still kinda surprised that there is no appropriate OP to stand against hime, the best I can come up with is MP-10
  17. Just picked up GDO Brawl and HA Tailpipe over the weekend, love the Breacher mold, will be repurposing him as an obscure Micromaster soon as I can look through my profile books again. Tailpipe is ok, suffers most in motorcycle mold, but not a bad figure, will be making a custom Gobot Scooter, just need to replace the "no-face" that comes on Tailpipe and repaint him in Scooter's colors.
  18. Nice, I'm lookin at grabbing up some of those Micron's to go with some custom Actionmaster characters I've been trying to figure out how to do, has Breakdown's Rhino/Hammer been released seperately? I'm gonna repaint a 1/100 Gundam Airmaster Burst as G1 Actionmaster Skyfall and I think that Micron would be perfect as Top-Heavy
  19. Rattrap: You guys attack Devastator head-on... then tell me how it works out later!
  20. Todays new hauls, Igear PP05M and PP05W, while I was getting extremely aggravated at the constant delays these two have suffered, you really can't argue with the final product! These guys stand roughly the same height as Hegemon (so just a tad taller than Classics Optimus Prime) and are just pure awesome. They each come with a couple additional heads ( I actually prefer Ironhide's original head, and Ratchet's red head) and don't forget the arsenal they each come with (Ratchet has enough tools to put most automotive repair facilities to shame). I also received Igear's upgrade for Fansproject City Commander which solves the only problem I had with the City Commander armor, the head just sucked! I'm keeping the FP double missile pods on him, and switched out some of his weapons so now he's dual wielding the FP white upgrade gun, and the Igear black upgrade gun.
  21. That's pretty epic! Did you have to use more than one Kreo set to pull it off?
  22. I'd say the same thing, but with Breakdown. And now I plan to get the Arms Micron Weapons, though it would be nice if a version of Noji (the boar Vehicon blaster) was among them. Ah well, I'll grab me one Arms Micron Vehicon, curse a little at the robot mode stickers as they're gonna be the same as Jet Vehicon's but in royal blue/dark purple. As for the head, I don't know of any that would make a decent Autotrooper head. Get on it, Dr. Wu/somebody! :tflaugh I mean the G1 Autobot clones Fastlane and Cloudraker(?) I can't think of any that could fit the bodies though
  23. Got my AM-16 Jet Vehicons today! I was able to remove the chestplate to place the Decepticon symbol on the inside chest panel, though it took quite a bit of effort, I scraped the glue off from the inside and was able to push it out on both sides, though this did cause a couple minor stress marks on the edges of the clear plastic piece. All in all I love this guy just as much as my normal Vehicon (Steve). All I gotta do now is make his nametag (Gary) and then assemble the Micron from my other Jet Vehicon to give to Steve. On a side note what head should I use to convert my spare Vehicon and Jet Vehicon into the Autobot Clones? I do have this to add, if Hasbro didn't decide to completely drop the ball on Jet Vehicon I never would have known how cool these Microns were, so... thank you Hasbro?
  24. It's worth it, a much better figure than the FE version IMO
  25. Just received my RID Vehicon (x2) out of the package I just loved this figure, and after doing the show accurate leg mod, I love it even more!
