  1. Lack of films has gotta be a big factor. Plus price hikes, these are expensive toys! I guess the 80s ranges are part of an avid but dying breed. I mean, there aren’t more people from the 80s. I also think the new ranges like the 13 Primes just aren’t hitting the spot. Not nostalgic, not cool realism like the movies. Not really appealing to kids. In recent years Transformers Animated had a really strong visual style that also resulted in strong toys. The Bayverse bots were realistic and cool - which does appeal to kids and adults. As much as us retro collectors like G1, I’m really not bothered about the 13 Primes. I am interested in Overgear as I’m ready for some more realistic and grown up looking toys myself. New characters and new stories.
  2. I'm not gonna lie, I am friggin excited about this. I have two changeables on my desk right now! And there are so many. Bring it on. Happy memories of childhood, so funny they are coming back. It really is year of the Transformer.
  3. A ha! I knew I didn’t make it up! Autobot power master Getaway. Phew that took some searching on Google to figure out. I did start to think I’d imagined it, but I remember how solid the car was, and the feel of the engine clicking in. I was so excited, cost about £10 in Argos in Slough
  4. I’ve had a memory of being bought a transformer from Argos in the late 80s or maybe early 90s. It was a white car, bigger than most cars. But that’s all I can remember. I think it might have had a micro master and was either a police car or race car. I think it might have had purple stickers. can anyone help suggest anything?! I’ve been searching and searching but not turning anything up it definitely was later and not part of the original line up or movie. and does anyone remember the micro Optimus and Megatrons from about 10 yrs ago? I’ve stupidly lost them but can’t find them online anymore, did they have a particular name? also while I’m here, aren’t we due a reimagining of Snapdragon. That one was so cool.
  5. Hiya! I collect MP Transformers which I love but I realised I’m too precious about them. They’re awesome but so expensive and easily damaged, the one thing I don’t like doing is transforming them! I’d like to collect some regular range Transformers for my desk and wondered is War for Cybertron the current range or is that a few years old as nothing seems available? Am I best waiting for the next movie? I had the voyager megatron from Dark of the Moon which I thought was as perfect as a regular Transformer could get but seem to have lost it when we moved house a while ago I’m tempted to buy it again
  6. Sorry, just bumping this in case anyone can help point me in the right direction - there are some listings on Ebay from China but want to make sure I stand the best chance of getting one with no paint damage.
  7. Does anyone know the best place in the UK to order MP36? I've had a quick look at one seller from China has it for £85 or there abouts, which seems great but is that too good to be true?
