  1. Seriously, how hard would a G1/Zone accurate head really have been? That would have been a win all around. As a repaint this is just such a lazy money grab. I am glad to see this name back in the rotation though.
  2. Baby delivery? Get your priorities straight man. But I'm pretty sure you could sneak a computer in and most hispitals have wifi
  3. There's no ethical problem with him reusing his own footage, but it does speak rather loudly to the redundancy of his creative ideas.
  4. Warpath and Wheeljack are back up for preorder at hasbrotoyshop today. While the repaints are inevitable, (bet the farm on Tomahawk as Whirl) I also think that some new figures are still coming in this line. if you read the tea leaves about what names they have in their trademark arsenal, A Trailbreaker(cutter)/ Hoist will probably happen and they won't waste that rumble/ frenzy mold. If they want to be cool and throw us a bone( HAAA) they'll make a proper gears and brawn at the scout scale or higher.
  5. The black nose makes a world of difference for me. Did you paint it or throw one on from a spare Skywarp or something.
  6. No joy in NorCal, though I did see some RTS figures at the local TJ Maxx, including a legends class Prime which we haven't seen any of at all yet.
  7. Where to start with this: This is probably the most insidious and frustrating part of being a Transformers collector right now. Online retailers and second hand sellers that buy direct from Has/Tak reduce supply and corner the market, then get to dictate price in the second hand market. Masterpiece Thundercracker was the most egregious example of this in recent time. You can't tell me it's rare when the one you're selling is sitting on top of a full case of them. I would pay the $250 to go to that guys house and punch him square in the gonads. He could keep the figure. To address Madman's question, yes, in my mind this sort of artificial price fixing is less than ethical.
  8. This is what drives me to frustration right here. Hasbro can't recognize the paradigm shift that is occuring in retail. If the big 3 toy retailers won't take them then how do we get them out? ONLINE YOU DINGLEBERRIES! YOU are the retailer. Make them available on your freakin' site Account for the emergence of online retailers in your distribution plan. Don't let the circle of online retailers corner the market on your own product. I don't mind if the designers are stuck in the 80's, but the market people can't be.
  9. No mention of that Arcee that was supposed to be part of Generations or what else might be in Generations for the rest o fthe year? Did they can that or push it off, or was it probably the Prime Arcee that they were hinting at all along?
  10. QUICK! Somebody alert Hasbro! There is egregiously false information listed for several of those figures. They are clearly listed as "AVAILABLE NOW." :doh
  11. I have been piecing together a G1 collection mostly via eBay for the last 4 years or so and am on it fairly regularly. I think that the economy and the squeeze it has put on disposable income, as well as the higher number of people selling collections for money, is a large factor, but there are larger problems with the eBay market right now. The way the fixed price "buy it now" auctions are run, primarily by professional scalpers, borders on collusion. It's bemusing how quickly other buy it now prices will get in line with the highest price on the same item. I think this can create some fatigue on the site, leading to less activity/ enthusiasm for actual auctions. I know I get tired of wading through all the ridiculously overpriced buy it nows to find an auction thats worth watching. People have the right to ask for what they think something is worth, but there is just no consequence to setting the bar above what the true fair market price is and letting it clog up the auction block. You can't tell me a masterpiece Thundercracker is rare when the picture shows the one you're selling sitting on top of two cases of them!
