Okay, now this one is out of the way on both sides of the Pacific, can Hasbro or Takara-Tomy please make MP Skyward from the new mold?
-
I'll get one tomorrow, and then a parakeet so I can use the comic to line its cage.
-
-
I guess it won't be the 30th anniversary until Fall. It'll be movie toys until then.
-
Definitely skipping Tankor.
-
Because your Intimidator set already didn't cost you a lot of money.
-
A few too many liberties taken with the design. I want the straight G1 design of the official Masterpiece Ultra Magnus.
-
I think it was a mistake to allow 20 years to pass in the comic book's universe just because 20 years passed in the real world. The multi-verse thing wasn't such a good idea either. Maybe the stuff that's meant to connect with the G1 story, for example Beast Wars/Beast Machines and Binaltech, was okay, if it had to be done. Then again, stuff like that was in cartoon and toy form, not comics.

Simplified to the extreme. Can't they just compromise the robot mode a bit and make a better looking toy? The Hot Wheel-sized GoBots from over thirty years ago were simple, realistic cars but they still looked good in robot mode.

Price . . . hurts.

You see that, game designers of Fall of Cybertron? THAT'S how you make a not-space shuttle.

:agreesb What a worthless piece.
That's a neat detail, but I would rather the figures were $5 - $10 cheaper than getting a coin. I don't know very many if any of my friends who care about the coins. Why didn't they announce this earlier? :tfevil Would be an interesting poll on how many people collect the coins in the MP Series. I wonder if there is a MP Coin holder case to display them all......

It looks like a Micron figure from Transformers Prime.
-
Wow. It's very nice, but a little too much for me. I'd rather just have FansProject make their own new Combaticons to go with their Swindle and Blast-Off.
-
It makes IGear's version look like a cheap bootleg.

Nice.

Fantastic.

Yeah, RtS Lugnut is a great toy. I love the way the wings turn into arms, a good example of how the larger size class can benefit a Transformer's design.
-
I bought, opened, transformed, and returned TFP Hot Shot. The alt-mode looks nice, but that robot mode is lousy. There's no way to lock the torso into place and the auto-transform gimmick prevents the head from being flush with the top of the torso.
-
The Starcats look like a combiner team from some other toy line, like the Brave Series of robot toys. The "Dinobots" still look like some sort of weird dollar store set.
-
How about The DinoChange Combiner Force which forms the super-robot Combinosaur! That's what these feel like to me, some weird set of dinosaur transforming robots that are sold at Big Lots.
-
Something about them just doesn't look right. They look like they belong to some other toy line, not Transformers, if that makes any sense. I also don't think much of Dinobots as a combiner team. I think it's one of the silliest idea that the fandom has ever latched onto.

My copyright senses are tingling.... I hope they got permission to use Optimus Prime's image!
They are in China, where Copyright enforcement isn't that strict on Chinese companies copying non-Chinese products. Anyways, Lego lost a legal case recently protecting their brick design, and technically it doesn't say "Optimus Prime" and it doesn't have an Autobot symbol... so Hasbro can't say much about some red and blue block robot.
Still, if Hasbro and Lego got together and released the "real thing" with this design in the US for about $25-30, I bet it would sell. They should do the fair thing and copy the design from Kazi right back!
I don't know if official Lego Transformers would be as good as these. Most licensed Lego products seem to have a lot pre-made parts, requiring little assembly.
