  1. Because the public at large would freak out and not know what to make of them. Michael Bay is a man of the common people and he made Transformers for them.
  2. I probably would've bought Starscream if I had known that Hasbro would be making all three FoC Seekers.
  3. Minicons with fully formed arms and legs that form a combiner that puts Hasbro's other combiner efforts to shame? Yes, I will buy these now.
  4. And to pre-order without pics is nuts, unless that many don't mind yet ANOTHER Arcee that's a motorcycle.
  5. "He's not a space shuttle! Really! He's not! Look at all the extra pokey things and ridges we added to the outside! He's not a space shuttle! :emo ," someone at TFC, probably.
  6. Most of the non-movie, movie toys are good and Skyhammer is the best. It really doesn't help at all that the movie bots have so much line details. These new toys can't help but look like shellformers, since the transformations have nothing to do with the robot body itself.
  7. YOTH Prime is aimed at a narrow audience, so poor sales of that aren't going to mean anything in regard to the the regular MP toy line. How many people want a MP Optimus Prime with gold chrome and a clear plastic trailer?
  8. They sure look a lot better than the junk that was made by IGear.
  9. The movie aesthetic doesn't lend itself well to simple transformation. It's going to nothing but shell-formers. Ironically, the Legends and, if there are, Commander class toys will turn out better because Hasbro won't have add so many line details to the robot modes.
  10. Larry Hama didn't care much for the G.I. Joe/Transformers crossover that he wrote, but at least he played it straight and just wrote a normal action story. This guy seems to think he's making ironic pop art.
  11. With all of the good molds this past year, I'm worried they'll be used for BotCon and I'll want to buy a set.
  12. If he's going to be THAT silly about it, I'm not going to buy this crossover comic.
  13. It looks like an expensive outline.
  14. Interesting. I doubt that Orci and Kurtzman have given as much thought to Transformers as Ron Friedman has.
  15. Didn't they finish transforming it? Why are his head and torso so visible in cannon mode?
  16. That is not true on everything. Some of there stuff like MP's and some 3P (like TFC/Pe and other companies they are rumoured to own) will be less than most, if not all, North american retailers even with shipping. Now I live in canada so it holds true for Canadians but a lot of places offer free shipping to Americans with orders over $150, so that makes a difference. They mentioned that the legs were complicated and they could not transform him into alt mode. I've tried ordering the Sharky set and the lowest shipping estimate is $37.00. That makes it over $100. RK seems different since they redesigned the site. I used to order some toys from there, but it's not worth it now.
  17. I've seen the toy in person and I was disappointed in the color that was used. Goldfire? More like Tarnished Brass Fire.
  18. I hate it when these stores list a toy as "in stock" but it really isn't. I think that I will order one of these when it's truly in stock. The Macross toy gets so much attention, the character was called Jetfire as a toy and in the comic books, so I've felt like Skyfire was neglected. I think Skyfire is a better name than Jetfire too.
