Okay, now this one is out of the way on both sides of the Pacific, can Hasbro or Takara-Tomy please make MP Skyward from the new mold?
-
I'll get one tomorrow, and then a parakeet so I can use the comic to line its cage.
-
-
I guess it won't be the 30th anniversary until Fall. It'll be movie toys until then.
-
Definitely skipping Tankor.
-
Because your Intimidator set already didn't cost you a lot of money.
-
A few too many liberties taken with the design. I want the straight G1 design of the official Masterpiece Ultra Magnus.
-
I think it was a mistake to allow 20 years to pass in the comic book's universe just because 20 years passed in the real world. The multi-verse thing wasn't such a good idea either. Maybe the stuff that's meant to connect with the G1 story, for example Beast Wars/Beast Machines and Binaltech, was okay, if it had to be done. Then again, stuff like that was in cartoon and toy form, not comics.

Simplified to the extreme. Can't they just compromise the robot mode a bit and make a better looking toy? The Hot Wheel-sized GoBots from over thirty years ago were simple, realistic cars but they still looked good in robot mode.

Cool. I'll buy the set.
-
Man they really cheaped out on the weapons there.
Yeah, that's how it is with Marvel figures. To be fair, most of those characters don't need many accessories. Those that do tend to get short-changed.

Not cool FansProject. Not cool.

Nice. I hope Reprolabels makes a sticker set that includes wing stickers for the wings. That is, stickers that look like the wings of the original Doubledealer.
-
While it is just a prototype and probably doesn't look as good as it will, I still won't any sleep over missing that accessory.
-
This is bad news.
-
-
I'll buy the other one.

You can create toy dioramas out of this comic's pages and create Twisted ToyFare Theater. The whole thing looks like parody. Even Larry Hama, who was no fan of this concept, wouldn't do this.
-
I could buy approximately the next 5-10 masterpiece Transformers for that money.

Tiny head is funny.

I'd rather they took this opportunity to make a show accurate Skyfire toy rather than another Macross inspired Jetfire. I think it's narrow minded of Hasbro to assume that all of us either had or wanted to have G1 Jetfire when we were kids. I, in fact, didn't know about Jetfire until I started collecting Transformers as an adult. He wasn't in the cartoon, so why would I know about him? I did know about Skyfire though and I've wanted a toy of him for a long time.

They are interesting, but the price hurts.
-
Well now, that's different. I don't care much for Bludgeon Tank Megatron, but I'd buy that set and this one if not for the price. I'd rather spend my money on Takara-Tomy's Masterpiece Transformers.
-
The most I've spent is a cumulative $300+ for 3rd party combiner Transformers and Fortress Maximus. That's where I draw the line when it comes to spending money on Transformers. I sure wouldn't want to spend that much or more on an old G1 toy, no matter how rare it is.
