  1. I'm not laying blame to FunPub (not yet anyway) bwbm. I just want to let people know that not only has credit card information been compromised, password information as well. I take responsibility for that. I thought I change the alpha/numeric on my TFCC password, but it turned out to be the same as my PayPal password! My credit card has been cancelled & replaced. My PayPal account however, has been locked! Thanks to smartphone technology, I was able to see my emails from PayPal, warning me of what was taking place. Had I relied upon my laptop, I wouldn't have been aware of what was going on until today. Because this was happening almost instantaneously while I was conversing with PayPal security, they feel pretty confident of tracking this individual/individuals!
  2. I received this email from TFCC Friday & thought I would share it here! As a victim, I find it as too little too late. Not only was my credit card breached, my PayPal account was as well, which leads me to believe not only was credit card info stolen, password info as well! This is going out to all members: Fun Publications wants to take this opportunity to apologize to all of our members. After many days of analysis, Fun Publications has determined that there is a security issue with our e-commerce systems. We appreciate all of you who have sent in your details. Your help has allowed us to ferret out several different patterns of fraudulent charges that have appeared on some members' cards (any that have been used over the last year with both the club store and our event registration system). We have several different internet/networking companies looking into the matter. Unfortunately, as of yet, we have not been able to identify any forcible entry either into our internet service provider's servers or network. This is like chasing a ghost through the wires, as unfortunately, the perpetrator did not leave a trail, foot prints or finger prints. For those of you who have been affected, we apologize for all of your time this has wasted and any inconvenience it has caused you. We understand your frustration as this same type of fraud has happened to everyone in our office on our personal credit cards at some point in the past. Our merchant services provider wants us to remind everyone that even though this can be a huge annoyance for you, the customer, your issuing bank will not hold you responsible for any fraudulent charges that might be placed on your card(s). We know that this issue has been a huge topic of discussion on all of the boards for the past few weeks. However, we are required to investigate to determine and confirm a security issue thoroughly before making any public statements. This is why we put out a general alert statement two weeks ago. Until the analysis is finished (can take several weeks) we don't know if the shut down by our former (Jan 31st) e-commerce provider caused the security issue or not. We do know that it has not been limited to those who have purchased before the change to our new provider. Please, watch your cards closely as this type of security issue appears to be on the increase across the net. No site is 100% safe. You may want to consider having any cards you have used with Fun Publications in the last year replaced. At this time, we do not know how long our e-commerce site will be offline for both the store and registrations. We will get back to you once we have a solution for this security issue. Thanks for your support - Brian
  3. Got the call from my credit card company yesterday! Got dinged for a $1 charge to Google & they attempted to purchase $309 from Wal*Mart.com Thankfully they were on top of things & I've canceled the card. The only purchase I've made all year on said card? Yep! TFCC! This'll be my first & last year of membership!
  4. Oooooh Yeah! Shockwave bought on sight! I was hoping to see some figures not relevant to the Fall of Cybertron game, but I'm impressed enough with the Combaticons, Jazz & Shockwave shown here. Prime I'm on the fence on.
  5. Curious as to the Shockwave alt mode. If they're following G1 lore, does he not always stay in a giant laser gun mode?
  6. Totally ridiculous! By the time I got the email (4:48 EST) & got to the site, it'd crashed! I'm sure all of us here work & like most, I'm not tethered to a computer all day! Even with my mobile device, I can't stop & take time out every 15 minutes or so to check. It's not fair to the people I'm working with! TFCC needs to come up with some sort of restrictions, or get out of the game!
  7. I got the email & went to the site & it's crashed! A follow up email then came in stating they shut the site down because they couldn't handle the volume of credit card processes! Once again, FML!
  8. Probably at checkout. If you're fortunate enough to get that far! I'd rather they give a date & time of the release. Emails are always too little too late!
  9. So basically in order to get this, I'll have to refresh the TFCC page all next week, because texts/emails/tweets are otherwise saying, "You're too late!"
  10. Wasn't the pre-order/order for Runabout & SG Drift supposed to be this month?
  11. I dont even think I'd buy this if it were mass produced in G1 colors! WFC Soundwave will probably never be topped!
  12. Sky Shadow & Junkheap have shown up at Wal*Mart Utica & Target & TRU New Hartford. Oddly enough, TRU here has yet to get in any 1st Edition Prime figures. Double odd is the fact that at both Target & TRU, Generations Blurr looks to be back in the mix!?
  13. Now 12 left in New Hartford, NY. Anyone needs help, PM me. PayPal & confirmed address only please!
  14. With the 2 pack coming out, black and regular windcharger set, I don't think these are quite the score as the scalpers are thinking. I'm waiting for the 2 pack my self, so why would I waste the gas hitting all the stores looking for one, or pay scalper prices for 1 when I can get the set? I think the presence of Windcharger at local US stores will drop the price of scalpers selling that Japanese 2 pack. Only people who want the Decepticon repaint will bother. They are selling for $10 to $15 on ebay right now. I went back to 5 Below to get one for my nephew & counted 37 Windchargers! Suffice to say, the eBay auctions of $30+ have disappeared!
  15. Windchargers galore at the 5 Below in New Hartford, NY. I got mine earlier in the week from TJ Maxx.
  16. Great. Now I've got to check the site every 10 minutes in January, just for a "chance" to purchase Runabout!
  17. After months of fruitless searches, TJ Maxx makes the wait worth the while!
  18. Don't give up! I found Windcharger at ROSS finally after months of searching, so you may find him yet! I found him him on Friday of last week!! Agreed. Finally found one at TJ Maxx. And judging by the glut of recent eBay auctions, so have a lot of others as well!
  19. Windcharger? Never saw him in any upstate NY stores! The Holy Grail of my Transformers CHUG collection.
