  1. Arcee... is hopefully mistransformed. Otherwise I'd have to say it needed an extra tour of the engineering department. Tigatron looks like money though. About $220 of money, unfortunately...
  2. Thanks to Twitter user Chohenken, we've got some additional shots to share of the Studio Series Constructicons on display at Winter Wonderfest. Chohenken took some nice close shots of Overload and Scrapper, who we're properly seeing for the first time just this weekend, showing them in robot and vehicle modes. 3. The Generations Selects Seacons are out on display at TakaraTomy's booth at Wonderfest this weekend, and Dengeki Hobby stopped by to grab some photos of the team and the fully assembled King Poseidon. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now
  4. Dengeki Hobby is at Wonderfest in Japan right now, and they started off with coverage of TakaraTomy's exhibit area. They're brought us some nice close up photos of the new Masterpiece reveals that got everyone's attention starting late yesterday, Tigatron and Arcee. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now
  5. Dengeki Hobby has some initial coverage up from TakaraTomy's booth at Wonderfest, happening right now in Japan. Among the items seen was the latest in a seemingly endless march of redecos of MP-10 Masterpiece Optimus Prime. In this case, it's one of the atmos sneaker company collaborations, featuring a deco inspired by one of their shoe styles. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now
  6. Wonderfest is just kicking off at the time of writing this article, and TakaraTomy are leading the way with the images we'll be seeing from the event with an official preview from their exhibit space via their TF_pr Twitter account. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now
  7. Thanks to Stryker Wang, we've got images from a TakaraTomy product flyer, from Wonderfest Winter 2020, getting ready to kick off this weekend in Japan. This has afforded us our first look (in non-testshot, non-combined form) at Constructicons Overload and Scrapper. These are the final two components for Studio Series Devastator, which have gone effectively unseen until now. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now
  8. Stryker Wang has shared a few more images from Wonderfest, setting up right now for the public exhibits that will happen starting Sunday morning, Japan time. Following up from the first glimpse of the next two Masterpieces, we have much better looks at them from what seems to be a TakaraTomy product flyer from the event. 9. Stryker Wang is on site where setup is happening right now for Wonderfest Winter 2020 in Japan, and he's shared out the first photos of two brand new Masterpieces which we'll be seeing plenty more of over the course of this weekend. Spoilers: It's almost certainly not what you've been expecting. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now
  10. Although it's apparently not due until early this summer, we already have a first look at Hot Rod from the second wave of Cyberverse Deluxe class figures! Entertainment Earth put up a product listing for Hot Rod (but seemingly not any of the other wave 2 assortment) with a packaging stock photo that lets us see Hot Rod in robot mode. 11. TakaraTomy has posted an update on their website giving some details about what they'll have to show at their exhibit space at Winter Wonderfest 2020, happening this weekend in Japan. The big headliner seems to be the first full reveal of Studio Series Devastator, a project that's been over a year in the making. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now
  12. Yeah, I reference toward the end that however this plays out it'll be better than the G1 toys. ...or maybe that was in an earlier draft and it got left out of the posted version. Anyway, for my own satisfaction, I've always only ever wanted a Leader-ish size Scorponok, since that would match better to how big Scorponok was in the Marvel issues, which has always been my default version. So matching volume with Titans Return Fortress Maximus has never been a priority for me.
  13. PaxCybertron on Instagram has shared a few photos of the smallest Earthrise figures today. The Battlemasters assortment hasn't shown up in any stores so far, but it was briefly available online, allowing some fans to get their hands on Soundbarrier and wavemate Smashdown, who's shipping in new Earthrise packaging after having debuted in Siege last summer. 14. Simon Smith has added some interesting new entries to his growing record of custom decoed and packaged vintage Transformers. His two latest works are a particularly interesting crossover idea that never was - Transformers and the Nintendo Entertainment System, two giants of the 1980s. 15. I suppose I also want to believe that this instance represents direct distribution just because that means they aren't taking large quantities of new product away from local shoppers and collectors before they ever have a reasonable chance at it. Sorry you've got a known scalper population to contend with; distribution in my region isn't generally the greatest, but I've rarely had the impression that places were being cleaned out in that way.
  16. It might be possible, but it's certainly improbable. To have 20 of each Deluxe would mean finding 10 cases all in one sweep. In my experience it would be a shock to find a given Target to have more than two cases on hand. The other thing, this seller is offering free shipping, and the markup is relatively low. After postage, which could get kinda high on single item purchases to far away parts of the country, they've got virtually no profit left. But if they're getting wholesale(ish) pricing, that gives them more wiggle room to sell they way they are. The wackjobs pricing Cliffjumpers at $50, etc, those are the ones probably grabbing off store shelves, cause they need the extra room to be able to operate. In any case, I just want the damn things to appear either in my backyard, or near someone who's willing to mule me a set for cost. It's frustrating being not just so far away from where most of the sightings are, but also [retty far away from the nearest location of the retail chain that's getting stock at the moment. Damn country living.
  17. A couple of themes have recurred in the discussion about Titan Class Scorponok since we saw a first leaked image of the main body of this year's big ticket Generations toy. One of them is an ongoing debate over whether it shares parts with Omega Supreme, a theory which I don't think even has enough merit to be worth debunking right now. The other is about the overall height of Scorponok... Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now
  18. If they're getting it through Diamond, that would not be inconsistent with how Siege went right at the beginning. Either way, that Arizona seller had something like 20 of each Deluxe when the listings you shared first went live, so that can't be anything other than direct distribution of some color. I've been watching the ebay listings since then. Results of different sorts have turned up for Florida, Wisconsin and... Chicago, I think. At least one of those is definitely an online storefront and so is expempted from patterning, but the others might be sourced at retail, going by the low quantity and high prices from those sellers.
  19. Thanks to ChotoLatte, we've got some new out of package photos of Earthrise Starscream. Voyager wave 1 was found late on Sunday at a Target in California, with no prior in-hand samples having turned up. This quick set of photos shows the new Starscream side by side with the Classics Deluxe figure from 2006 - including one shot with their weapons swapped, which looks pretty good! 20. It's probably worth clarifying that this ebay seller is a store operation themselves and almost certainly got these figures through distributor channels, so it doesn't actually indicate the toys have become available in Arizona yet.
  21. If only you had been at Modesto yesterday. They had Voyagers. ;)
  22. And now we're almost to all of the first wave hitting stores. Late last night, Starscream and Grapple were found at a Target in Modesto, California. ChotoLatte reported the find with photos of the toys on the store's shelves. Though we'd had indication of this already, the sighting also verified that Earthrise's Voyagers are going out to stores in cases of three, where two had been standard for a number of years now. 23. This morning, the Kapow Toys Facebook page has a special treat - a gallery of in-hand photos of Earthrise Voyager Grapple by Toybox Soapbox! This is our first look at the finished retail version of the toy, which is officially due to be released starting in March. That an early leaked copy hasn't been shown off on Youtube yet is a genuine wonder. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now
  24. Spotted today at a Target in Sacramento, CA, Cheetimus on Twitter has spotted Cyberverse, or "Bumblebee: Cyberverse Adventures" 1-Step Changer Repugnus. This seems to be our first look at the toy in its finished state, in fact. A while back a vendor catalog leaked showing a grey prototype, but little had been heard about it since. 25. Toy Fair is less than three weeks away, which means it's time for early leaks and such to start coming out in force while they're still relevant. Tonight, through 4chan, an image has come up showing none other than Titan Class Scorponok himself, as well as the Commander Class Sky Lynx which has been strongly pointed to for a little while already.
