:tflaugh That was the stupidest of things related to Star Wars fandom. Now I understand the hipster cliche about "liking something before it was cool." I was a big Star Wars fan back in the '90s, literally before it was cool. I thought the Death Star petition was fun. They raised the 30day signature threshold from 25k to 100k now. This petition though isn't a bad idea, might not work, but I signed it because I agree. When faced with a comparable design from Hasbro or a Third party offering I chose the Official one. The toys right now are flying off the shelf. FOC Bruticus wasn't even represented here in San Antonio. I had to order the remaining to make a full set as they were too scarce to get. The problem was their strategy of making a million Primes and Bumblebee's and expecting them to sell. Their newer strategy to work different characters should pay off for the new movie.

Picked up Insecticon Kickback and found FOC Ultra Magnus, Swerve, and Air Raid also on the West side of San Antonio.

Nice, but..... How much? I need two.

It's only slightly remolded and repainted from a figure half it's price that I already own. Not worth it to me.

Although I think this is a significant improvement over the Energon version, the price is too high to justify adding it to my collection.

K, I think they are still on Earth. Just high above the clouds on top of the tower Megatron created at the end of Season 2. Why is Predaking so tall and NOT a combiner?

I don't think Beast Hunters is taking place on Earth. I heard the creators saying something about a major change of scenery and given that the current story on Prime (keys to revive Cybertron), and the look of the throne room from the clip, I'm pretty sure BH is going to be on Cybertron. Which would make Autobots beasts a lot more accesible in the same way FOC had the Dinobots, Shockwave experiments turning against him. That throne room can totally be on Earth. I think it's probably on the huge tower that Megatron created at the end of Season 2. What's up with Predaking being so large and NOT be a combiner?

My Ariel Customs ROTF Leader Prime hands arrived today. Had alot of powder in it still that had to be scraped off. Assembly was tough though as the knuckles were very tight. They loosened up after a few rotations. I'm amazed at the level of detail that's available. Can't wait to get some pieces printed off to check out.

Oh yeah, I forgot that you were doing the Omega Kreon. That thing is so full of cool I might get a Kreon just so I can order it from Shapeways. Bye the way, I'm digging that claw concept. I thought about doing the same thing for my custom as well as have fists that come out or click in some how.

Actually, IMO, Gen 1 Omega's alt mode was primarily used for rocket missions. The tank and associated parts were part of the perimeter guarding. Omega Supreme's robot mode IS the Autobot's last defense. He was a towering and powerful giant. As far as an update, as long as his robot mode has elements to the original character, his alt mode can change. An example would be RTS Perceptor, Good point, so what about a triple changing Omega Supreme. Huge battlestation/tank, heavily armored spaceship, and Omega Supreme robot mode.

Sweet, what size is that Omega Supreme helmet going to be? I wanted to model out a head for my custom after this Prime armor.

YotS Omega is $99 Dollars though. I already have the Energon one and I'm working on a custom Omega.

Had alot more luck last night using SketchUp (SU) and Blender. What I initially did to build the chest piece was to create a plane and extrude it into a cube. Then formed all the faces by splitting each face and extruding them. In Blender apparently this is how alot of modellers build. That kept only the original 4 vertices but not the additional vertices that were extruded from the original object when I imported the .dae file into Blender. Last night however in SU I created a plane and continued to create additional planes as the surfaces of my object. Then when it was imported into Blender every corner had a vertice linked to an edge and a face and they could be manipulated individually. I did copy and mirror half of the chest plate to merge over into the complete chest plate and tried what you were mentioning before about intersecting the planes. That didn't work so I stitching them together with a rectangular plane and deleted the old edge lines. What I like about Blender is that I can select vertices and move them with by dragging the axis arrows. I'll try to get some images linked this week to show you what I'm talking about.

Looks good so far. It would be cool if they stayed closer to the G1 story though.

Dinobots as combiners is awesome. They are at war and a massive combiner has size and strength advantages that single bots don't have. Because they are at war and have been for millions of years it only makes sense that the Autobots would adapt the gestalt for their use also.

I'll go check that out tonight since the network is too slow here at work. Looks like a good video on solid tools though. The solid tools have a cut and join tool that would be really nice to use but they are greyed out out on the free version. What I did notice after importing my model (.dae) into Blender is that there were only 4 vertices on the whole model and there should have been a whole bunch. I'm working on Optimus Prime Upgrade armor based on the DOTM concept artwork.

K, I have the latest free Sketchup and it will not allow me to 'explode' parts.
