  1. Yeah, the flip & change gimmick is complete junk, while the 'generations' do contain a higher level of detail. However, my comments are aimed at the line in general compared to past movie releases.
  2. There's that poster again...and again I'm drawn away from everything on the left to everything on the right.
  3. Hmm, I thought I'd be more impressed...but I think I'm good with my deluxe RTS version. :shrug
  4. 'Bout time this came out, no thanks to Hasbro. All THANKS to Shout! Factory. :thumb
  5. Hey, most third parties cost you 'an arm and a leg!' :sneak But if it's what we want, it's what we'll buy (or find a way to). :beer
  6. I don't really mind that they 'don't look like the originals'...and I'll give you that out of the entire line the Dinobots look the best. That's not my beef. It's really everything else about them... Dinobots are probably the more interesting designs, but HIDEOUS colors that, from the previews I've seen, aren't accurately portrayed in the slightest. Hound with the wire beard...gimme a break. Drift looks like something out of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Galvatron and Lockdown really don't look all that menacing. The overall aesthetic is something different that we started to see creeping in. When the movie line began, the designs were somewhat humanoid, but still maintained the 'robot' feel. RoTF, though perhaps the worst movie of the bunch, really pushed the envelope in some aspects of the robot design (wheel-formers, crawlers, etc.), but then there were the Twins and Jetfire. Then in DoTM, we started seeing things like Que and dreadlocked Cons. Now half of the designs look like they're pulling pictures of human beings off the web, skinning them with a robotic texture, and then giving them names that don't particularly matter (especially in the case of the Cons). And speaking of, again, where are the Cons?! Lost are the designs like Blackout or Bonecrusher...or in some cases, even Barricade. Yes, I'm mostly focusing on Decepticons, because that's where my biggest disappointment lies. I don't know if we ever really got an adequate Megatron, but this Galvatron is doing nada for me. Just not really feeling these particular Bayformers. Anybody feel the same? :shrug
  7. Yeah...wouldn't Scourge or Nemesis Prime be more accurate? I've utterly given up on trying to make sense of Bayverse. Please, share your speculation...you can't ruin it anymore than it's already been. :shrug Btw, went to my local Target & Walmart tonight, they had a slew of AoE figs...not a con in the bunch! So besides this Galvatron that doesn't look like Galvatron, and a Lockdown that doesn't look like any iteration of driving around in a ship that looks familiar, what's that leave for bad guys? Humans? :lame
  8. I'm gonna go out on a limb & answer 'nope' on that last question. It's difficult enough getting decent products out of them these days, particularly while Bayformers persist. I don't think they have the slightest inclination to create an MP combiner. We'll have to keep depending on third parties doing it...and if you're limited on funds, myself included, missing out. :tfmad With you on Motormaster setting the tone for this set, though. The models above appear more integrated in an 'old school' fashion, more so than the Causality version. Like this direction. :thumb
  9. :pics Just sayin'...and you know me, if the emoticons are there, will use. :wave
  10. Amazing at how much better stuff on the right side of this poster looks. Seriously, though... :awsum
  11. Low stock or not, I'm just glad folks are getting an opportunity to get this figure again, and at a decent price.
  12. HAHAHAHA!!! Apologies ahead of time, but this is the FIRST thing that came to mind... :hbang
  13. DITTO! Just went to the store a bit ago to pick up something else, decided to peruse by the toy aisle, and, wow...what garbage. :tdown Terrible aesthetics - enough with trying to make robots look like humans! Crap transformations - I get the gimmick, but this combined with the terrible aesthetics just make them look like junk. Decepticons? - Yeah, where the hell are they?! Also, we should've known better than to scream about Dinobots for the past two movies, because once again, what Bayverse/Hasbro is giving us ain't what we wanted. :doh
  14. Woohoo! The little guy does fit in the driver's seat after all. :thumb
  15. Great review! Skrapnel looks awesome, and I so hope his teammates are produced. Really still wish Reflector got the proper treatment, it being the 30th Anniversary and all, but, oh well. :shrug
  16. REFLECTOR! Thundercracker Skywarp Since it's the 30th Anniversary, why not do something neat...like my 3-in-1 first pick!
  17. That'd be: MP-14 Red Alert = $57.24 MP-12 Sideswipe = $57.24 MP-11 Starscream = $136.20 MP-10 Optimus Prime = $217.13 And I doubt that's including shipping! At those prices, might wanna shop the KO's! Just sayin'... :shrug
  18. It'll be nice to see how this sizes up against the other third party Headmasters.
