  1. Certainly, but probably not the most favorable business move. :shrug Yes, and it would likely sell better too. Megatron always seems to be a shelf warmer. :tfpwn Because they're too scared to let Megatron BE Megatron (i.e., a gun! Or at the very least, a consistent weapon of war). Prime's ALWAYS a truck. :shrug
  2. I think the idea to have unique bots detached from what's already out there, while furthering a continuity, if I understand the creators correctly, somewhere along the lines of Generations and TF:Prime...refreshing! Looks like a fun game. :thumb
  3. I don't know if I'll bother...looks pretty dang skippy AS IS. :schin I did improved him with one sticker on the chest: DECEPTICON EMBLEM! Had a leftover multi-size sheet of those from Repro. :thumb
  4. So, I took my son to TRU this evening (his $5 was burning a hole in his pocket for a pack of Pokemon cards!), and while there I had to peruse by the Transformers aisle. Pathetic. Here we are in the 30TH ANNIVERSARY of Transformers, and what's on the shelf? A big hunkin' piece of plastic Starscream in a giant box for $99! Kre-O garbage hanging above it and a few left over TF:Prime figs. Now, I can't just blame TRU...I'm seeing the same pattern at Wally World and Target. So, WTH, Hasbro? It's just about Bayverse now? I know there's more scheduled, but honestly, there's little coming down the pike that I've been impressed with. No wonder I find myself more intrigued with third party offerings these days...and no wonder why they're coming out of the woodworks. Yet, most of the time, I'm unable to afford them (I get it, costs more for smaller guys to produce...but still). It's just all really frustrating to see Transformers' 30TH ANNIVERSARY here and not much to celebrate in the realm of Hasbro's offerings. Thoughts? :shrug

  6. I'm still here as well, brethren. Life, and the older we get, makes it a little more sporadic these days. Can't argue about Bayverse and that travesty, but Hasbro's made its own bed as well. Actually, let me save that rant for a different thread. There are still collectors among us. Keep the faith! ;)
  7. Tempting, if he were more cartoon accurate than the Ultimate. Both have their on-screen differences, so I'll just stick with the big guy I've already got. ;)
  8. You know, the more I see these third party gestalt mega-beasts, the more I ask myself, 'when's Hasbro gonna get a clue?' They seem to be going the opposite direction: smaller or simpler or both! :doh
  9. Finally got him! He's every bit as unique as these images. Great job, UT!
  10. Sure would be nice if we got them all. Absolutely! Come on, Hasbro. :schin
  11. Shouldn't this be Soundwave? Just sayin'...he'd seem better suited for this. Ditto on the QC issues. Looks pretty flimsy overall, though...I don't see how they could've got the one in the pic to even stand! :tfhuh
  12. Gotta have one of those ties...or a couple. Sending to wife NOW! :thumb
  13. Wish I knew if there were any plans to release the other two Insecticons.
  14. I'm sure there'll be some kind of tie to the others...that won't make any damn sense! :doh
  15. So, Stinger's evil Bumblebee? :shrug These are all product images, right...no guarantee they'll make the movie?
  16. Well, as far as what I'm seeing from the movie offerings thus far, my money is safe. :poop
  17. Excellent! These are progressing nicely. After seeing the Lego Movie, kinda makes me wish I was seeing this over the summer! :schin
  18. Hey, it only took'em 4 movies to finally get the cab-over flat-front design! What are you people expecting? ;)
  19. Screwing up both Transformers and Ninja Turtles is one thing; combining efforts is quite another.
  20. Me: 'That's Galvatron?' My son: 'That's stupid.' Me: 'Agreed' THIS is Galvatron. :P
  21. Excellent stop motion! Harryhausen would be proud. Too bad they didn't green screen that background! :doh
