My unboxing and review of Fans hobby Lightning Eagle is up! Fans Hobby as usual doesn't disappoint. I also like the preview of Machine Eagle (Machine Wars Optimus Prime) in the instructions. Can't for that to come out.

My review of Civil Warrior's CW-01 General Grant aka Masterpiece War Within Optimus Prime. I do have some QC issues with this figure. This is a new 3P company and I would very much like to give them a chance at their after sales support. I hope it will be a positive outcome. Overall I am generally pleased with the figure design.

Some kinds of plastics are extremely resistant to paint no matter what you do. These are usually toughened waxy plastics/superhard plastics like polyoxymethylene that make up parts of a figure that could easily be stressed if made from the usual pvc or abs. The limbs of the Transformers Siege Battle Masters are made of this stuff and you need to color them, so what do you do? It's RIT DyeMore for synthetics to the rescue! Mix half the bottle of dye with a cup or so of water, boil the liquid on med to high heat just so you get a gentle rolling boil and drop your parts in. I like to suspend mine in a strainer so I can 'lift and look' to check the color. In under a minute the pieces will start to be dyed with a color that won't rub off! The longer you soak them the deeper the color. Here I've dyed the lower half of Slitherfang and used testors/tamiya lacquers to paint his upper half! You can even use him with your GI Joe Classified figures as a shield or drone. For more pics slither on over to his page here: Custom dyed Slitherfang

This is an update to my 1st Impression review of Transformers: War for Cybertron, Earthrise Leader Class DOUBLEDEALER showing off the PROPER way to do the bird mode!

Thanks! I prefer the scale and robot mode look of Siege, but the vehicle mode of CW. Can't really go wrong with either IMO.

Which is you favorite version of Magnus? Combiner Wars or Siege?
  15. 2 points
It is close, but I think the Combiner Wars one is a better toy because it is bigger and the alt mode is more functional as a car carrier.

He's finished, a Siege style Vehicon based off the Decepticon Brute/Drone from War for Cybertron game. Vehicon was made from an upscaled Sideswipe KO, modded Dinobot ConstructBots Strafe head, and some movie Hound weapons. He was primered with Bulldog Adhesion promoter and painted using Tamiya/Testors lacquers and neon paint detailing that shows up great under a black light. Vehicon's paint job is metallic black with Mr Hobby premium gloss sealer. For more pics head to his page here: Custom Vehicon, voyager scale

Greetings Transformers Fans! We hope you are safe and well during the pandemic. By now we have all been at home for weeks and are finding all kinds of ways to pass the time. Unfortunately, for a lot of Transformers fans one of their favorite things, collecting, has been impacted the most. To help light our darkest hour, Tformers, The Rejecticons, BigBadToyStore, Stan Bush, and others are hosting a 5 Day special event running April 27th thru May 1st to entertain and engage Transformers fans who for various reasons have been isolated and cannot afford to collect Transformers. I never got the Henkei version, but I really do love the one that came in the TRU 2-pack with the good version of Evasion Mode Prime. I think the chrome bits are really sharp, and he generally just looks like an awesome (and very Japanese) take on Prime. He's the only Classics figure I still display.

I have been collecting since 1984, transformers what the first thing I ever truly collected. I've cut down considerably on what I collect now, but Transformers were my first passion. I had to have every one in that 85 catalogue. I drove all over the place hunting them down, with my best friend. We're still friends, and I still have them all, all complete, 98% 9f them I still have the boxes. I packed them and their accessories in foam rubber to hold and protect them, decades later, they are my favorite thing, after my family. I also have become very adept at repairing them, and other toys. You never have to stop loving anything... unless it's killing you.

Coming up on four years since the last show in 2016, we've begun to see some signs of activity coming from Botcon once again over the last couple of days! The botcon.com website was brought back, at first appearing as it had just after Botcon 2016, but then changing to a message declaring that it was now under "renovations". The only time I ever desire to live on the west coast is when new toys are coming in. Damn geography. Oh anyway, if I understood his followup tweets correctly, he actually found the entire first wave, not just Wheeljack and Ironworks. That photo shows what's left after he bought his own set of four.

I'm an old school Geewunner but Beast Wars is my favorite storyline with the best characterbuilding. There is so much possibility here, just don't focus on the (Cave)humans, and give Megatron some damn screen time. Oh yeah, we gotta have David Kaye and Gary Chalk reprising their respective characters.

It's strange I don't mind if another collector touchs one of my pieces. Because there is a level of respect there they know how to handle it. But if anyone else goes for one it's a different story.

This weekend looks like a great time to catch up on some toys you may have passed on the first time around. Amazon's US website has a ton of great discounts happening right now for a variety of Transformers products across all the major lines: Siege, Studio Series, Cyberverse, and even a bit of BotBots! As always a couple caveats apply: These prices are correct as of the time of compiling them, but the can and will vary with time and changes in inventory levels, and we can't guarantee how long any of these deals will be available for.
