  2. Thundertron is a unique addition to the Legacy line and shows how deep Hasbro is willing to pull. Transformation is fairly simple but I am concerned about the strain on the mushroom pegs all the twisting will cause over time. The Lion and robot modes feature a striking blue-and-white color scheme that I quite enjoy. I appreciate that the designers could include the best-remembered feature of Thundertron, his peg leg. While Thundertron might not be for everyone, it's nice to see this character from the Prime toy line included.

  4. Thanks! I didn't see that vote. I have added that to the post. I agree it makes sense, as the Ultimate looks different enough from the 106 that it will work better. That and the 106 is rather puny for the job.
  5. Right; I'd like to see something a bit more official than this.
  6. Transformers Legacy G2 Jazz gets a Bold & Zesty new look thanks to Toyhax.
  7. I'm fairly certain that this DNA kit is for Ultimate Optimus Primal and not SS Optimus Primal. When they posted the update for Volcanicus they asked it people wanted a kit for Takara's RotB Primal by voting for it in the comments. I guess this is the results of that vote. It makes sense since the new parts can just peg into the ports on Ultimate Primal's forearms and shoulders. It also looks like they're replacing the beast mode head too since it looks to have an opening jaw which I think is why people are thinking it's SS Primal. For me the dead giveaway is the flat tab clearly seen on the back of the figure. That to me tells me it's Takara Ultimate Primal. And it would make more sense as I think Apelinq was bigger than Primal so they're using the largest mold for the conversion. I wouldn't mind maybe seeing a small kit for voyager Primal to maybe make him into Optimus Minor or something. That's probably just me though. Voyager Minor, leader Primal and then ultimate Apelinq. Or you can just use the Beast Weaponizer Primal for Minor as that's a decent little figure in its own right and it has the correct beast mode posture. Although, Optimus Minor wasn't a gorilla since he had a tail lol. So no, that wouldn't work. Paint the voyager blue and call him B'Boom then or something like that. I'm still hoping for a retool of Kingdom Primal into B'Boom. They're not all that far off from each other in where their parts go. Not that they really would be as they're such similar animals to begin with. I'd also want another retool into Heinrad too. It could totally pull off the clock chest with how Kingdom Primal's chest transforms. I thought we'd be getting more Beast Wars figures after Snarl/Tazmania Kid was leaked but it seems it's only going to be Magmatron and Big Convoy. Hopefully they'll do Galvatron too from TM2 Megatron.
  8. Tonight on GotBot goes Live, we talked Studio Series 86 Optimus and Medix, plus threezero releases and YOLOPARK. Plus, I touched on Earthspark, Reactivate and the Legacy United in-hand images. Finally, we played trivia and did this week's unboxing!

  10. Yeah, looks like they chopped the MP-44 legs and head with Earthrise OP's torso.

  13. No, this is probably a fake image for the 2024 Studio Series TF Move Commander Class 86 Optimus Prime. The robot doesn't look like others, however the trailer looks to be a copy of the MP-44. What was recently leaked as a retail listing appears on the SNS with the box, robot, trailer and accessories including his ION Blaster, Energon Axe, Matrix of Leadership, and blast effects. - Read the Full News Story
  14. Just when you thought the non-transforming toys market was done, threezero takes it up a level with their soon to be revealed Transformers Premium+ Optimus Prime figure. What it is, or isn't, is unknown, but you can be sure the non-transforming item will be expensive. We will have to wait and see what this when its shown on December 8th at the 2023 ElefunPop Art & Toy Show in Shanghai, China. - Read the Full News Story

  18. Just in from the Asia SNS, there's a new cat in town called Laser Cat. They have an unofficial new project that appears to be a Super Deformed Optimus Prime modeled on the Rise Of The Beasts. Unlike those other SD toys, this one transforms too. No word on pricing or release date yet, but you can see the translated update followed by the image below. - Read the Full News Story
  19. So much for giving our wallets a breather! In the waning days of 2023, Hasbro is starting to trickle out their 2024 line Legacy United. The first figure for most of us is Animated Optimus Prime. While I was never a fan of the cartoon, I did respect the toys and how they captured the style of said cartoon. This Voyager interpretation while giving the design some fresh angles, remains faithful to the original look. I think Animated and all Transformers fans will find something to like about this version of Optimus Prime.
  20. I like big bots, and I cannot resist following up on Alt Mode Week feature of the 2012 Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Ultimate Optimus Prime Year Of The Dragon MechTech figure with a look at the robot mode. You'll need to roll up your sleeves and do some work to transform the truck into the Omega Combat Armor mode. - Read the Full News Story
  21. This time I look at a real oddity of a legends Starscream. I'm unsure which particular version I have as this guy have several variants and was released multiple times from 2010 to 2017; from RtS to Chronicles, EZ Collection to being a dollar store release!
  22. "The Rise Of The Beasts may have fallen to the bottom of the Movie franchise..." Yet, according to the audience, it's number 4 of 7. Perhaps the Bayverse should have focused more on the TRANSFORMERS, than the humans/military. Wow smh. Michael Bay needs to be kept far away from any future projects! Audience scores 1) Bumblebee (2018): 91% 2) Transformers the Movie (1986): 62% 3) Transformers (2007): 57% 4) Transformers Rise of the Beasts (2023): 52% 5) Transformers Dark of the Moon (2011): 35% 6) Transformers Revenge of the Fallen (2009): 20% 7) Transformers Age of Extinction (2014): 14%
  23. Amazon Japan updates with a new listing and images for the Takara TOMY Transformers Studio Series Concept Art Megatron. This figure will be released in Japan on May 25, 2024. Check out the new official shots of the cancelled Megatron that didn't appear in the TF6 Bumblebee movie. - Read the Full News Story
