USA Edition Powerglide, Onslaught & Silverbolt Gallery

With just a few days from their October 2, 2008 release in Japan, some retailers have put out TakaraTomy Transformers USA Edition Universe Classic 2.0 Powerglide, Onslaught and Silverbolt a little early. View photos of these more accurate G1 repaints from their USA counterparts.

Powerglide may be red but all I see are those big orange Titaniums. The red could be better, especially after all of the G1ness in the rest of the Henkei line.

Are you kidding? He looks fantastic! If it wasn't twice the price of buying the Ultra here, I'd so get it.

 

...I still might. I loved Powerglide, and I really think the red version is superior to the more "real" version here. Not that the one here is bad by any means. I just think the red looks better. Pure nostalgia. :)

Ya know, I actually really like Powerglide that way, because he's an obnoxious twat and the fail-ness of the mold plus the G1 colors really evokes him effectively.

I'm honestly surprised TakaraTomy didn't chrome the gold areas on Silverbolt. That would've been the only thing that could've tempted me into ordering it, as it is, US Silverbolt & Onslaught are more than good enough for me. Powerglide I still think I'm going to order the TakaraTomy version though.

Yeah...I'll stick with the 'real' US versions. Definitely not enough difference with Silverbolt & Onslaught to warrant paying that much more!
