Could Transformers Animated toys be brighter in color?

Aside from space issues, there is something that's keeping me from collecting Transformers Animated, color. I bought a few Transformers Animated toys but I ended up returning them. One of the problems that I have with them is the lack of bright color. Animated toys look like they were made in normal colors for a toy, but then got those colors diminished. They all look like they live in a coal mining town, a fine soot of carbon covering their bodies. Transformers have not really had this sort of appearance prior to Animated. I was going to allow myself one Animated toy, Blitzwing, but I just can't buy one because of the dull colors.

I don't get what you're saying, though. There are bright colors abound...the FINISH is probably what you're noticing. Transformers have always had a smooth, glossy finish, and the Animated toys have a more subdued, matte finish. I like it, it's more realistic.

I kind of get what he's saying.. the colors aren't quite as vivid as some of the Cybertron guys I had laying around. :shrug to each their own. I personally love the animated line for what it's worth.
