Fixes for TF Animated figures

I just did the hand tab mod to my Lockdown.

found a good fix for the 2 pack megatron

 

i found a good one too.

 

1. buy the 2 pack

2. buy cybertron Optimus Prime

3. switch Optimus Primes

4. return 2 pack with cybertron Optimus Prime

that crappy Megatron broke in less than 24 hrs. i'd say about 6.

Although the pointing forward bits do kinda go with the wings swept forward motif.

I wonder if that's even desirable in anyway...

As Hasbro stated he is a Harrier Jet I would assume that it would look a lot closer to the Modern non-futuristic version. Kinda like its engines had been updated.

Nice fixes. I'm going to have to do that fix once i get Grimlock. I already did the fix for Screamer, Prowl, and BB (the only ones I have). Would anyone actually recommend Voyager Megs? i'm thinkin about getting him, but i need to know your opinion.

 

Overall, I love my voyager Megs. :)

 

 

I've got a couple mods in mind to "fix" the way his cannon sets on his arm, so the only real "problem" I have with him is the extremely lame "sword" gimmick; the red blades both flip into a single red blade that runs the length of the bottom of the cannon, which really gives it no functionality at all.

 

It would've worked much better if maybe the cannon's barrel (the entire front half of the cannon, 'cause of the missile-launcher inside it) flipped back to rest on top of the back half, while the blades flipped forward to form a dual-bladed melee weapon. I might look into ways to mod it to do that, but I don't have much hope for it.

So kinda like Gasmask Kroenens swordys from HellBoy but no dropping it... And with a GTFO gun mode too.....

did anyone have issues with starscream's feet? i opened the box and you know how you're supposed to extend the engines out to become his feet? the little orange hinge that holds the feet in, one side is too thick so the foot won't extend out all the way and 'click' into place.. had to use a nail file to shave off some of the orange plastic in order for it to fit right- but its still kinda gimpy.

 

newb question: how do you pop out the pins that are holding the plastic in? can you use the same tools used to change watch bands? i.e. press out?

This might be the wrong thread :P but I have a question Jin: Do they sell those paints you mentioned at hobby stores (like Hobbytown USA) or do I have to order them from their site? I'd be helluva Inconvinient :tfevil Also for other people: Do they Sell Roplables (or any other TF decals) at retail? I heard they do at K-mart, but I'm not sure.

Reprolabels can only be purchased at the Reprolabels website, or similar Reprolabels-like sites. (There's one for G.I. Joes labels that sells Autobot and Decepticon emblem sheets, I unfortunately can't remember the URL off-hand.)
