Question about Animate Ratchet

Is there some sort of trick to getting his hood/belly to go back in bot mode without having to resort to brute force. I have had to just push the 'belly' back and it makes this horrible "CLICK" when it pops back in place. I'm scared something is going to break.

no problems here

So when you push the hood back to make the "belly" it goes back smoothly?

That is so weird. I bought a second Ratchet because my first one had some paint issues on the face (the second one was WORSE), and the belly on this one is just as tough to push in as my first one. Looking "under the hood" there are two tiny plastic pegs on either side of the main piece, and I have to slight pull the sides of the part that hinges back to make the belly go back smoothly. I wonder if the pegs could be shaved down a little bit to make the transition a little smoother...

*sigh*

WTF pegs? Do you have a picture? I do not have any pegs on mine that I know of.

I've had no issues. It's smooth.

Correction, they are not pegs, they are little "rails" or tabs. Flip Ratchet over (minds out of the gutter, please) and look in the area of the hinge joint where the hips/lower legs are joined to the upper body. Right in front of the holes where the pin (or whatever) for that hinge goes (inside the tire well), there's a little raised tab about 5mm long that holds the belly forward in vehicle mode. There are two white "struts" that go from here to the front of the vehicle (the part that holds the front tires). These struts rest against those two tabs, and the struts have to be spread far enough apart that they clear the tabs for the front of the vehicle to be pushed back to form the belly in bot mode.
