First Repaint...

:tflaugh O.K. So I got inspired to do a transformers repaint. It's my first so be gentle with the feedback.

Nice job. Movie Ultra Magnus, interesting. The silver is pretty shinny, maybe some white would tone it down. You should be proud.

Yeah, I should have said I was going for a worn/battle damaged look. I still have a little touch up to do and I have to hit him with a satin clearcoat to dull the shiny-ness a little.

Thats a really awesome job for your first try! This is one of the better movie voyager magnus repaints i have seen. I like the worn paint look, and everything else just fits together lovely.

hmm, shouldn't the sleeper sections that fold to make his shoulders be blue as well? Fist thought was the worn look might be a little overdone, but actually adding a bit more grime to the sleeper and the red on his chest may tie it all together better.

 

Just a couple observations. Overall its a very nice first bash.

yeah, it's a great first go. my first repaint was a total embarrassment on all fronts. :)

i think it was a good first try, your transition from silver to blue is really good.
