To lazy to write a cohesive review (if that's possible)...so here’s some P's & C's.

 

RM-01 G1 Convoy

 

Pros:

 

- Nice articulation. His arms, head, and legs (below knees) all have a nice range of motion.

 

- Transformation is simple (idiosyncrasy’s aside).

 

- Couple of molded details from his big brother MPP. The back of his forearms have the tabs from MPP that are used to pull out his hands and the suspension from his big brother placed in-between the wheels on his legs.

 

-Mini, transformable, G1 OP... always nice.

 

Cons:

 

-Alt mode blows. Some say it looks better in person...well it doesn't. Aside from the cab hovering over the rest of the truck, it is also small in relation to whole package. Functional at best.

 

-Limited movement of the thighs. Since the wheels are attached to the waist, when moved it rubs against the bumper poking out of his ass. Best way to avoid it is twisting the legs inward, move the legs pass the bumper, and pull the legs back out. Not as bad as its sounds, but it prevents free-play of the joint(s).

 

-The cab is attached to the waist by a thin piece of plastic that is used constantly for movement of the waist. He is not a "solid" figure. Care should be taken when transforming him, Energon Hotshot he is not.

 

Spent $19 on him plus shipping and wouldn’t pay more than $20 for him. I recommend him for transfans on a budget, who can't afford his costly big brother, or those of you (like me) who can't get enough of G1 Prime. The mold would have been more fun (and sturdy) if it was a little bigger, BW Megs dwarfs him in both modes, making any fight they have seem one-sided. He does look fantastic on bot mode though and that's where he’ll stay.

Just a little nitpick...MPP and RM-01 are based loosely off the toon model, so why the double headlight's? The toon had one big one on each side...
