Classics Continues

I really don't mind it being under the Universe moniker, but still.

More Classics. Swipe/Streaker have already been confirmed, and they'll look like Lambos, but not a whole lot. Octane is also confirmed.

Other possibilities include Jazz, Arcee, Prowl, Silverstreak (who will promptly be named Bluestreak upon my purchase), Smokescreen. Possible new combiner, and an actual new mold Galvatron not just a purple repaint of Classics Megatron.

Unfortunately, they also announced no more new Alts or Titaniums :07redface (:schin...I'll have to pick up Titanium two-pack WWi Megs/Prime while I can).

They're killing Alts and Titaniums, aside from the expense of the design and materials, because "they're not selling as well as they'd like".

Hmmmm.....

Well maybe, if half the Titaniums didn't have wonky-ass sculpting (Crotch-Tastic Soundwave anyone?), or held together better (V1 Tank Megatron) or you could actually find the Alt or Titanium you want in a goddamned STORE they'd sell just a wee bit better, eh? Some of us would love to buy Titanium G1 Magnus or Alt Mirage but have never seen them on store shelves, and don't want to pay online specialty-shop prices, and never know they're on HTS until the tiny number available have already sold out because we don't spend every waking hour on the phucking Internet.

Have you considered that, Hasbro?

Well, HAVE YOU?

The Alternators news has be soooo bummed. That was my favorite TF line ever.

And yes - had the DISTRIBUTION been just a wee bit better, maybe they would have met sales expectations/goals! I can actually count how many Alts I found at a B&M store on one hand. Grr...

Same goes for Titanium Ultra Magnus.

Hasbro - we can't buy what isn't there. :roll

When was this confirmed?

I misses everything. :07redface

Why the hell would hasbro use the Universe Moniker of all things. All that line was was a vast collection of repaints. Why not Classics 2.0 in movie packaging or something?

Unless we're talking 100% new molds I'm not interested.

Sad about the alts but couldn't care less about the Titaniums. Have yet to actually buy any so no loss there.

The Classics lineup they do have confirmed sounds pretty kickass. Guess we'll just wait & see.

I expected the whole "Classics as Universe" type thing all along - no big surprise there. (Still good news!)

Titaniums? d/c

Alternators? I'm gutted. Not surprised though, as I can see how kids wouldn't like them. They should release a few with a higher price tag IMO - they're better for adult collectors who, although making a very small portion of the market, would probably be willing to spend more. I suspect we'll see a sharp increase in adult collectors after the movie too. Well, for a while at least...

Well, titanium UM just went up in price. I really want to know what the Ultra sized classics 2.0 figure/s will be. I also wonder if this means we'll get that Piranhaking afterall? So much good news in there, but also so much was vaguely left up in the air. And just how the hell does a trailer turn into an axe? Not to mention, how is the figure going to be able to wield something so huge? Last time I checked the trailer on a truck is much larger than the truck itself.

    • If you've not had your fill of Transformers collaborative news today, here is some more with a leaked product listing for the Project Knight: Transformers X Knight Rider crossover. We've been dreaming of this one, and it appears a transforming K.I.T.T. will be coming as soon as August! It must be something big and or special with a $49. - Read the Full News Story
    • Tonight on GotBot Goes Live, we talked Transformers news for the newest multipack and some reissues. We also talked collaboratives with TMNT, an Ectotron reissue and, maybe, even Star Wars? Plus, we address the MP Ginrai teaser image and answer who is Riggorus?
    • EDIT 2: Okay, I think my real problem with this was the marketing image. The main image shows four robot turtles standing together, so I was ready for four toys, not one. Admittedly, I was so disappointed that I did not bother to read the article fully. That's my fault. I apologize. That said, now that I understand it is THE van that turns into a robot, not "robot versions of the four turtles," that makes more sense, but I don't get the four heads. There are images here of a bandana free head which I gather is not included. I would actually prefer a non-specific generic turtle head for the robot. I think that would remove a lot of confusion. At least for me. EDIT 1: My bad, I misunderstood. It's one toy with swappable heads. So, you made a thing based on a four member team, and you only want to sell one toy? You're not even trying to get people to "Collect all FOUR!" You do understand how toy sales work, right? Original Comment: This is a perfectly fine idea executed TERRIBLY. You made four unique toys, each specific to each of the Ninja Turtles, that all turn into the same vehicle? It would be one thing if they joined together to form the van. There have been transformer sets like that before. This is just wasted opportunity. Not to mention, that van exists for the turtles to ride in together as a team, so if they can turn into vehicles ... what do they need a van for? I get that that's their van, and that's cute and all, but ... this is just dumb and disappointing. Why not think about what kind of car each of them would drive based on their personalities, or ask some car company if they want to do a tie-in promotional? What do I want with four copies of the same van and no one to ride in any of them? It makes no sense.
