Um, maybe its this toy but are TFs overpriced

Toybiz's plastic isn't that durable...

 

 

Hasbro's Plastic is incredibly hard...my 200 batmen are very strong....after 11 years. of hard play.

Well, the 2 figures really aren't comperable. Unicron's made of much higher quality plastic possiblely-- i'm assuming what's been said is true, i've never actually played with that Spidey-- Unicron's loaded with electronics and gimmicks (spring launching missles, the jaws/mandibles on his planet mode), and, oh yeah, he Transforms :P

 

Designing a toy to do that and building them around those kind of hinges and joins is what raises the prices on TFs.

yeah, alot less devlopment goes into a Spidy fig.

Yeah, the reissues seem to be overpriced, and everything does cost a lot, but it is pretty cheap. Imagine how hard it would be to design something that transforms into a robot and something else, and looks good in both modes. Now consider doing it for 19 years. Now come up with some more! Yeah, that's a lot of work, and therefore a lot of money.
