Anyone notice an inconsistancy concerning Sector 7?

Most of the info we have on Sector 7 seems to paint it as a shadow organisation bent on world conquest but all of the tf toys that were painted into S7 vehicles, have autobot symbols. This seems to indicate that S7 will team up with the autobots but that would be extremely anti-climatic since S7 is being built up into a big bad.

I think you're reading too much into repaints.

And so far, the only repaint that I've seen with both S7 and Autobot symbols is Strongarm, who has the molded in (but unpainted) Autobot symbol. All the other repaints so far for the movie line seem to clearly be one side or the other.

It isn't so much that they are trying to take over the world. They are the stereotypical "men in black" secret government agency created to handle things that the governemt feels it would be better that the public never hears about "for their own good", such as UFOs and aliens, and whom the government can claim plausible deniability for. Therefore, it isn't that they are a "big bad". Rather, they currently feel that all aliens are a threat to the world, not just the Decepticons. That is likely to change once the events of the movie unfold. The conflict between Sector Seven, and Agent X and his cohorts is one side believes that the existance of the "NBE"s must remain secret at all costs for the sake of humanity, and they see all of them as a threat, while the other side believes that the best way to protect humanity is to reveal the existance of the NBEs to the world to prepare them for their arrival, and actually sees one group of NBEs (the Autobots) as being a possible ally against the other, obviously hostile group (the Decepticons).

So, no, Sector Seven isn't trying to take over the world. They are simply trying to protect Humanity, particularly America, from the "threat" they feel the alien NBEs present by covering up all information about them.

*Points at their first encounter being Megatron*

I'd say it was a justified :thumb
