WST Devastator bash

A while back I posted a couple shots of a paint job I did on a WST Devastator. Well I finally found Devcon Plastic Weld so after a series of false starts with crappy glues I've given Devastator leg articulation. I have no idea where I got the Decepticon emblem sticker that's on his chestplate.

Watch out, Smallest Bumblebee!

Another exciting angle!

He can even walk!

Some of the glue is slightly rough and I'll probaby paint the grey thighs green. Something-orchard green, I need to look that up. I might print some construction-y decals after consulting the movie on his thighs. My main concern right now is adding shoulder articulation and better elbows and I haven't decided how to do either, yet.

I'm really mad I didn't buy a second while they were still on eBay because I really want to use the head on the new Classics Dev...

The more I look at it the more I like the grey thighs, but I do feel lazy leaving them unpainted. It does go with all the silver paint though, maybe I'll make them silver?

Great work! Maybe if you can paint the parts purple just so it matches, this project would be close to perfection.

Really, purple? I thought the thighs were green... this is embarrassingly basic info to not be sure about, too!

I got the Action Master Devastator, and his head is perfect (to put on the Classics)!! See if you'd want to try that...

Ooh, another item to add to the eBay checklist! Thanks!

The color of Devastator's thighs veries from source to source. They were often green in the cartoon, but in the comics they were usually silver or purple, and with the toy, they were obviously purple.

For your custom, I would suggest leaving them silver. No only do i think it looks better, it also helps break up the colors better, and make it a little less monotone.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I've decided the lower knee joint will be purple (like the stock connecting parts I cut out and used) and the upper pelvic joint green (like the codpiece in front of it). The thighs themselves will be silver and I might put some kind of decal over it.
