The WWI Megatron mod looks good, though i can't see the back cannon. One question, was modding the post absolutely necessary to get it to fit on the forearm? It seems to me that it should be able to fit wthout having to lenghen it.

lol - you would think so... but that was the one gripe I had about the figure. As it comes out of the box, the peg on the arm cannon is a shade too short to fit in the arm properly in robot mode. Extending it was the only way it would work.

And yeah lightbringer, I had troubles with that orange cap on Classics Megs too. I had to sand it down a little and repaint it, cause the paint just didn't want to stick. :tfmad

Here is one last pic of UM - I didn't like the first one I took, it was too dark:

Actually I think the first pic turned out better. in this one the red looks pinkish. Granted the blue is more G1 in this one but you didn't paint the blue so still the first one was better.

The paint apps look so natural to me I didn't even notice what you'd done until I loaded the "before" link--and then I wondered how I hadn't noticed they were all wrong to begin with! I'll definitely be copy-catting this when UM shows up here.

I used a Tester's enamel paint marker. I do all of my customs with them. $10 for a three pack of black, red, and silver at the hobby section at Wal Mart. They are easy to use, and once they dry the paint is there to stay. Any overpainted areas can be edged with a toothpick after about a minute of drying. That's how the lines come out so straight. :tftongue

Once and a while, certain plastics don't hold the paint very well without priming or sanding first. A good example of this plastic would be the orange cap on Classics Megs. The rest of the plastic on him for some reason held it pretty well though.

No chipping on this guy, b'c none of the pieces I painted come into contact with any other parts when you pose or transform him.

Glad you like it... can't wait to see yours! :)
