motorcycles are about the only usefull vehicle not already in the assortment, unless you are willing to go the triple changer route, because boats, trains, and space shuttles are all pretty limited as far as "disguise" + being usefull goes.

i guess i agree. the only way i see a trainformer being of any use if for the bots to infiltrate a government industry or something. usually road entrances are more heavily guarded than railroad loading docks if they have any. but i guess it wouldn't work for the plot effectively. nor would mass-moving a bunch of autobots on "autorack flatcars" (a type of railroad car used for carrying cars) a great distance to hide from the decepticons better, as you really can't see what's in those trains. but i guess knowing the TF technology, i would expect the decepticons use other machinery instead of their own eyes to find and destroy the autobots. no.. i guess you're right, it just wouldnt work. only the Astrotrain idea Hobbes posted earlier would be effective.

 

but it certaintly doesn't rule out a toy-only bot. we've seen some amazing designs in the toyline, and i would love to be able to see a train get that honour before the line is done. there's nothing holding toys back since they'll only be...toys. but i hope we get at least one north american diesel locomotive (i have nothing against japanese trains, but honestly, we have 4 now) and maybe some massive ships too. or a 747. always possible i guess. i'll keep hoping

While I love the idea, it would never work. Just look at the RiD Bullet Train Team. They made their own tracks as they went- how corny was that?
