Transformers in latest Popular Science magazine!

In the January 2007 issue of Popular Science (the one with 'MARINES IN SPACE' on the cover) is a timeline for this year which runs for a number of pages below various articles. Under the July section, with a 'BUY YOUR TICKET!' stamp, is a blurb entitled 'TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE' which reads:

"Planet Earth is the front line in the epic battle between Autobots and Decepticons when director Michael Bay's live-action movie Transformers opens on July 4. Based on the animated series and popular action figures of the early 1980s, Bay's Transformers (brought to life by CGI) can change from, say, a 25-foot humanity-hating robot into a deadly jet fighter in four seconds flat."

While I'm not quite sure why this belongs in Popular Science, I'm rather glad it's there! (And they mentioned Starscream! Sort of.... :tfevil )

Still, they make it sound like it only existed during the 80's.

Maybe because to the "TRUE FANS" it only did.

How come no one ever mentions that Transformers are still on the air with new shows and new product? They act like it only existed in the 80's.

Because most of the reinventions suck. If you wanted to introduce someone to the fandom would you show them a bunch of Energon episodes?
