G1 Megatron doesn't need parts removed to transform him. Like Energon Optimus Prime, his accessories are optional.

That Prime mod is a cool mod. I remove MP Starscreams waist fins all the time.

If the parts can still can be placed back in alt mode, who cares. I keep the fist on my G1 Magnus in alt mode. All four of them. ( not really. But most g1 do require taking parts off)
