Yeah, I really like the fact that they're finally doing Hot Rod. Being my favorite character, though, I feel kind of gipped that he only gets a repaint, but oh well... Also, I really want both this and Convoy, but who actually wants these creepy little girls and the accompanying porn-ish boxes? I mean, even if they did include Daniel with this guy, he'd probably be in some wierd position with a collar. This Oshima Yuuki is one wierd yatsu...

He's not a repaint.

1) Mirage hasn't been released in Japan and Hotrod isn't slated released here.

2) it would be remold if it was rereleased.

Nicely rounded out set...but the figure is just so RED. I don't care about GEEWUN orange-thighness, but they could have done SOMETHING besides red for everything. The arms are mostly red, the torso is mostly red, the thighs are red. More of the dark-red (like on the hood hinge) or even BLACK. Just NOT all-red.

 

And yeah, KISS Prime is supposedly painted, and looks it. Hot Rod here doesn't look painted, and for the price we really should've at least gotten that.

Wow, this is kinda cool. I'm glad that they're trying to make these toys at least differ from the US versions. Besides the paint, I mean. I also think the arm cannons turn into the fishing rod...and if that is true, that is pretty cool. But, at the price point it's going to be at, I don't think I'll be buying one. :( I really want it too.

Hasbro can get every thing TakTomy makes as long as it's a TF. It's just up to them what they want to do with it. They can get Roddy's head, MP Screamer, Soundblaster (as we've just found out about) and even Kiss Prime's surfboard and Smoky's cannon. Hasbro just has to decide on whether we'll buy them or not.

 

Yeah, that makes more sense than "they already have it".
