*thinks Loki's last post couldn't be said any better*

Transformers change from Robot to Alt mode, concepts change and evolve over time, like art movements.

:schin

Welcome to the 21st century, asthetics have moved on. And about f***ing time too.

Actually, If you study your history, you'll see fashions, styles, and art movements repeat themselves very regularly. For the most part, a classic is a classic. Classics, such as G1 Prime, will never get old or go out of fashion for long.

Yeah, primes G1 design definately holds up better than many of the bots. When updated to match MPOP it truely shows how good the concept is. That said, I'm ready for a another great incarnation, and the one shown looks plenty good to me. Lets hope they can execute.

And there is no wrong or right when it comes to the business of constructing art, what you use, how you present it, what meaning if any meaning their is to it, everything comes down to personal taste.

and G1 Prime is a classic most definitely. But that becomes too familar and similar.

I only speak for myself, with the exception of once relating the response to the new movie concepts to my Auckland peers.
