How many of you are almost done?

I'm so close I can taste it.

I can't even see my collection anymore...all I see is the empty holes or the fact that my Nightbeat is a Van Gogh (missing a head gun). Everything that I need is pretty much lame stuff.

1984

Bumblejumper (not a high priority)

1985

Downshift

1986

Blurr-just an unbroken shield

1987

1988

Nightbeat- R small gun

Catilla- gun and tail

1989

P Starscream - shell, gun, helmet

1990

AM Prowl-just 1 missile

I see a lot of different types of collectors on this board. Some people are just going for what they like from G1. Some are cool with reissues ( :tdown ). Some people are all about having a few rare and bad-ass pieces from around the world. I was curious as to who on this board is collectiong (or is done) a full US G1 set and how close are you? Are there some things you just refuse to buy? Have you moved on to foriegn stuff?

Basically, I know for the most part, who all here is way the hell ahead of me, but I'm curious as to who is occupying the same boat.

Thunderclash's repaint as Optimus Prime is totally awesome. one of the best bricks ever.

they nutered the trailor from what i've read, so it'd be worthwhile to get both MW OOp and Thunderclash.

Yes, I have MW Optimus Prime - my MW collection is complete. Colourwise, MW OP looks nicer, but playability wise, Thunderclash wins hands down.

Here is a list of all the Transformers that I do have. Not including variants, I have 872 Transformers. ;)

Those are impressive indeed, quiktake.

I'm nearing completion of my G1 collection.

Well, not so close as some of you guys, but here's what I need off the top of my head:

Monstructor (soon)

Fortress Maximus

Blaster and all Autobot cassettes

Dcon cassettes: Frenzy, Overkill, Slugfest, Squawktalk/Beastbox, the Japanese ones

Autobot Triplechangers

Some Head/Target/Powermasters

Thrust and Ramjet

Not terribly keen on the pretenders, but I may pick up a couple.

No Actionmasters.  None.  ucch...

And I've decided to start collecting Micromasters, but not necessarily the bases...So far I only have Vanquish and his partner, Fire..shot?

So maybe my collection of G1's at about 60% or so complete...I've got most of the heavy hitters.

EDIT: Is there a number out there of complete G1?  Well I suppose i could look around....

NOW WITH MORE EDIT!:  Ok, so there's about 450.  457 to be exact, i didn't count both Hot Rod AND targetmaster Hot Rod, in instances like that (I also didn't count rereleases of figures to include mini-spies, but i did include mini-spies (4 molds, 3 colors each= 12)

i also should've counted the Actionmaster partners that were actually "characters".

Ok, so maybe it's around 475 or so.

my collection is at a mere 33% or so.  Still, heavy hitters comprise much less of the collection than the rest, maybe that's why I thought i was closer to complete than I am.

anyways, happy hunting!
