GF Primus Q to those who have one

I recently picked up a GF Primus but I immediately lent it to a friend still sealed for him to open up and to take pics, as my excuse for a digicam finally gave out on me.  He somehow lost the force chip for about a week at another friend's house, who had better natural sunlight(his house had a backyard).  The following week I met with my first friend who showed the force chip had been found by my second friend, but we were surprised to notice that it had a code on the back.

My question is did the GF Primus Force chip have that code?

My consience is bothering me with the possibility that my second friend bought the Cyb version just to replace the force chip, as GF Primus is sold out locally.  I did joke about it while they were looking for the chip.

Yes. Apparently, Primus is identical in both its TakaraTomy and Hasbro versions.  Thus, the GF version's Force Chip does have a Planet Key code on the back of it, it seems.

Thanks to Remy's gorgeous gallery, Primus' Force Chip Planet Key code is sp8u.

I'll confirm that by saying that is what my GF Primus has as well.

The GF Primus comes with the Force chip because they were manufactured at the same time and came off the same manufacturing line.  That is also why Cybertron Primus is due out months before its previously stated Fall 2006 debute.  There could be plenty of reasons for this, but my guess is that Takaratomy couldn't justify a full production run on their own because the big figures don't sell as well in Japan.  So they combined the production run of the figure and just packaged some in GF boxes and the others in Cybertron boxes.

Mine is still MISB sitting on my shelf.

I recommend it, the figure kicks ass!!!

(although you might as well wait until the Cybertron version comes out in a month or so and save yourself some $$)
