Armada Unicron problem

I bought my Armada Unicron the same day I bought my Alt Sideswipe/Smokescreen, When I opened him to check him out his batteries for his eyes were dead but I didn't think anything of it. I bought some new batteries from my local hardware store a few days later and put them in that night, I tested his eyes out and they worked fine.

He sat on my dresser for a few days then one day I pushed the button to make his eyes blink and they stayed on constant, I left it there for a few minutes to see if they would go out and they didn't, I finally took the batteries out because I didn't want to kill them.

Anyone else have their Unicron's eyes do this to them, I don't know if it's just with the Armada version or if it affects the Energon one as well (being that all he is, is a repaint)

Can anyone offer a solution to this? It's not really that much of a problem at this point, just more of an annoyance at not having a fully working toy that a just bought recently.

No, have no problems with that. You might want to screw his head open to check if the button doesn't stick.

the button on top of his head still clicks so I don't know what it could be, and I'm really afraid of unscrewing his head. I've tried "fixing" some of my broken toys and such that have electronics before and only made them worse. Or I couldn't get them back exactly like they were when I took it apart.

well it didn't happen till a few weeks after I got the toy. So I don't know, I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and take his head apart. I really don't want to make it any worse though.

I have heard of that problem occuring on some Armadacrons, it's rare, but has happened. I think it was because of a loose connection somewhere? Haven't heard this happening in quite a few months so I don't remember the details. You must have gotten one of the older models (which I understood had this problem happen more frequently than later ones)

I've got both Unicron figs and no problem with either, other than the fact my Energon one blinks a little faster for some strange reason.
