Ironhide and Rachet

I always thought of Ironhide as a very important character. He was always there protecting Optimus and the others. I felt bad when Megatron shot him at point blank range in the movie. I would like to see him as a cartoon acturate transformer, but I don't think it would sell to well. Besides, I see this red GMC Yukon Denali everyday and I think that would be perfect for Ironhide/Rachet. Maybe Jazz, Grimlock or Bumble Bee will be MP's.

I'd have to agree that an Alternator:Binal Tech Ironhide / Ratchet would seem appropriate for these guys. I like the slowly but surely way that these lines are growing. Hopefully the classic G1 mythology mixed with new storylines will support it.

I still see the Homda Element as a candidate for their rebirth. Trendy I know. It just seems like the perfect vehicle to update to from the late 70's /early 80's Toyota van. Changing vehicle generes too much (such as a Cherokee or Ram) for these guys may distract from the personalities we love so much.

Although, a rebirth is a rebirth....

Those two need to go under Alternators/Binal Tech. Sorry, but if you're going to break it down to just four Transformers that any random person could name it'd be (probably in this order) "Optimus Prime, the gun guy, the one that turns into a jet and had a whiny voice, and that little yellow VW bug".

Whether you admit it or not, the only other Autobot closest to "icon" status is the perennial underdog Bumblebee, and I don't think he needs the MP treatment...only Prime deserves that with a possibility going to Megatron, who would probably be better served by Hasbro to simply turn him into an Alternator-type, making him a larger vehicle to scale with MP Prime.
