Hmm... whoever suggested porting over Swerve's head may be on to something.  Anyone know if they're interchangable?

EDIT: And for that matter, how easy is Swindle's visor to get off?  I like for all my repaints to look different, but I don't want to make any permanent mods.

Was also thinking of making Rollbar into a better Swerve. Besides the probable difference in balljoint size (which Trench pointed out), I also wonder if Swerve's head would fit inside the jeep. It's a very restricted space, so I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't fit.

As for Swindle's visor. It's very easy to remove. Just take apart the head and you can remove the visor. Unfortunately, there's absolutely nothing beneath it. Swindle only has a visor, no eyes.

At least Takara's honest. They release the straight repaint along with the new mold and people cheer for it's utter coolness. Hasbro does it a few months later and they get bashed.

They can never do it right. Poor Hasbro people.

Thats not a bad idea, either. His original alt mode was a 4x4 so it would fly. And that'd leave you with a headless maroon vette to make into a better Dead End...

I agree with those that feel these are somewhat of a ripoff... and the only reason I feel that way is because HasTak was very deliberate with the beginning releases to do at least a little retooling when re-using a mold, so they set the idea in our heads that we wouldn't get any straight repaints.  Especially that they're now into the 3rd use of these molds, to say they haven't made enough to still profit off these with the additional production costs involved with retooling is ridiculous.

Personally, I think the Takara shakeup really derailed the pace of this line.  I think a lot of internal processes were/are so unstable right now that both companies are kinda scrambling to buy themselves time until Takara's inner workings are back in order.

Not half bad. I'll take this one.  Everyone who posted they didn't like it knows that when they see it, they'll casually pick it up.  For $20, you can go wrong with any Alt.

I like Swindle's colours better.

I'm liking it. Really think this color works well on this mold and I like the color on the arms and hips.

I agree but am wondering if Has is really going to paint the visors.  I was hoping for getting him with a gold translucent visor.  Think he would look a whole lot better if he had translucent visors.

I agree. But how's about translucent amber with a small bit of metallic flake?

I'm just irked by the fact that they could do simple repaints/remolds that would make everyone happy, but they choose not to.

Example: Black Swindle (obviously) vs. Orange Rollbar.  Richochet as a Prowl repaint.  Heck, even a Red Mustang w/ Decepticharge head or a blue Viper with Tracks' head.  Fans would eat those with a spoon, and it would just be a matter of swapping some heads and doing simple repaints - no extra parts needed.
