I'll end up getting a few Rollbars, probably.  I've been wanting to cannibalize my Autobot Swindle test shot to give Hound that brushguard for a while now, and with this release, I won't have to sacrafice him.  Sweet.  :thumb I'll probably do a dummybash with this one for a Trailbreaker, too.  Why not?  :roll

At least with swerve u get a new head mold(and sticker). This one scream money-sucking-repaint along with wrx-ricochet.

do they scream it as loudly as yellow tracks, red meister, and blue prowl?  I like it.  The orange looks alot better than it did in the first picture we saw.  And I don't Rollbar should get a new head.  RiD rollbar was a straight repaint of G1 Swindle.

With Takara's Variants, they distribute an equal number of both colored versions and they keep em the same character........wait...While I was typing this I remembered BTA. My bad. At least BTA is spin off line though and not necessarily part of the main line

I wonder what they were "testing" with that test shot. If it was "suckitude", then I think he passes the test with flying colors.

C'mon, man. Based on what? Do you honestly think that Jeeps dont look good in bright colors, do you just not like jeeps and/or this mold, or are you just pissed cuz it isnt Trailbreaker?

 

Personally if I had to choose between getting an orange jeep or a black jeep, Id pick orange since for the most part Jeeps are one of those vehicles that look best in something a bit bright, much like a sports car, hot rod, muscle car, or dune buggy. Would I paint a Ford Exlporer, or Toyota Camry orange? No F'in way. But at the same time, I wouldnt paint a Jeep metallic beige or dark red.  The ONLY reason I'd do one in dark green is to keep Hound's whole flow going, or for a military vehicle. But for aesthetics alone, no way.

 

You dont like it, dont buy it. Just like I wouldnt touch any of those WRX molds with a 60 foot pole. Im a bit pissed that 2 of my fave characters got shafted with that crap mold, but if it bothered me that much Id buy 2 of alt prowl and start painting.

 

And for the record, this guy stands a good chance of shoving swindle aside as my all-time favorite alternator. What character they named it for is immaterial. But for taking a vehicle and making an awesome looking robot out of it, slapping the right colors and details on it those 2 come closest to building the TF that I've always dreamed of owning.  Now, if they'll just make one in the same 'Big Bad Blue' used on the '69 AMX....

What sucks the most isn't just color. It's just that there are no remolded part, especially the head. Rico's color would suck even if he was remolded.
