When he was a 50 dollar chunk of crap. (In some people's opinion.) Overall, A Uni was a dissapointing release.

I liked Unicron, he's one of my favorite villains in the TF universe and to finally have him in toy form rocked. It was far better than the original G1 prototype. But the tank sounds kinda cool...

I kick around the idea of getting him every now and then, since I've been re-collecting my G1 stuff. But he's got a bit too much clear plastic IMO. Still though -- the mold is cool, all things considered.

If he was round, he coulda been the perfect villan. But now we have Cyb. Galvy.

2. He is in no way a disappointment.

 

He's as close to G1 as he possibly could be. He looks cool with mini-cons powerlinked, and even cooler with Energon Weapons - and hey, not only did they find a way to make his wings, they also found a way to make them functional. Now that's cool.

 

That said, I'm very curious about this new Unicron. Hope he's cool!

:pfx Unicron is one of my favorites (in case you couldn't tell).

I was very happy w/ the way that the figure was done in Armada. I just hope that they do a good job w/ the tank in Cybertron.

I agree completely. I am in the same camp as you, I am especially impressed by the wings and the rings in planet mode. They worked out very well indeed IMO.
