Transformers Game Preview Event

KICK ASS!!! That's what Atari's new "Transformers" PS2 game preview was last night. After seeing it, I can attest, that we will all be KICKING ASS on the likes of Megatron, Cyclonus, and good many others Decepticons on May 11th when the game is released in the United States for the Sony Play Station 2. Does anybody know what happened to the G1 game that was being developed for PS2 last year?

It became a Japan only game. No plans to import it at this time.

NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The graphics were so good and it looked so promising!

Well, it turns out the G1 game got a horrible review anyway. Why can't they make a decent G1 game?

Why are there G1 cartoon pics mixed in the other pics?

Just footage used within the presentation, I imagine.

 

Trust me ... Tatakai played terribly stiff. This BLOWS IT AWAY in terms of smoothness and playability.

 

The Atari reps on hand stated that the crew and the game would indeed be at OTFCC 2004.

Yeah..OPM ran a little article about the game this month. They said nothing but good things about the playable demo they had.

"If your like us, your hopes for Atari's Transformers game have been minicon sized at best. After all, it's based on the stupid Armada generation, and, well...it's a freakin' Transformers game. But put away those "I hope it'll be at least mediocre" thoughts. We've played a good portion of the game's huge Amazon level, and it isn't merely enough to satisfy...Prelude to Energon is a damn fine videogame. Our early version allows play only as the speedster Hotshot, but it offers a pleasing mix of third-person shooting, driving, exploration and -oh,yeah-transforming."

 

The game looks really good, it's nice to see a TF game taken serious by the developers. :clap
