G1 Lot of Transformers...

Hey, there's a guy here where I work that has almost all of the G1 transformers with their parts and boxes... I got really excited but didn't let him know I was excited.

 

I asked if he would sell some yesterday and he seemed hesitant... but today I offered him $400 for it all except the 2 he really wanted to keep (MISB Prime and Megatron) and offered $500 for it all. You think this is a good idea?

 

He said he had prime, megatron (opened), sunstreaker and most of the cars, all the jets, shockwave, devestator etc... you get the idea.

 

Just want your input on how much (round about) if might be worth.

btw,if he has the box for megs and prime thats is pretty much worth your 500 there.

If I were that guy, I'd be offended. He tells you he almost has a full set and right away you want to take it all away from him.

Well, when he told me about the set, I asked him if he'ld sell it... and he was reluctant.

 

The next day I told him I'ld give him $400 for most of it or $500 for it all... it's his choice. He can do any research necessary. He's getting married this summer, so I need to get it away from him before she makes him get rid of it all!

 

Now he tells me he will let me know something next week... auh, I must have patience....

Maybe you should offer to get rid of it for him, buy the ones you want an tell him you will list the others on ebay, with a small fraction of the sale price going to you for your services. That way he gets his moneys worth, you get the items you want, and he has money to spend...wait let me rephrase that, ...and she has more of his money to spend.

 

That way, everyone is happy, I think.
