Post-BotCon Impressions....

Dealer room was small with not enough dealers in my opionion.  But I never felt crowded.  Everything else I thought was handled amazingly.  Master Collector picked up the pieces of what 3H ruined and instead of fixing it and giving it back to us, they threw those pieces out, made something better, and it was great.  I was one of the volunteers, and I got to see a few times certain hands on moments where Brian Savage saw a problem, however small, and jumped on it to make things go off right.

And oh yeah, the exclusives rock!

This was my first BotCon, and I expected to see a little more. Iwas expecting to see more G1 Japanese exclusives than I did. A few of the dealers had the same old stuff that I had been seeing for years. There were a few interesting pieces here and there though. Having dealt with Brian Savage from a standpoint of a Joe Con, there is no excuse for the price and semi-crappiness of the exclusives. He doesn't understand that, while Joe fans LOVE army builders, we don't much care for them. His excuse for the prices of the Joe Con sets (which were slightly cheaper BTW) was that he had to hunt down old molds. All of these molds were less than five years old, so what gives?

On a side note which shouldn't even be brought up, Savage is a Night Viper and is very unproffessional.

I wish I could have went to Botcon this year just for the exclusives. I actually didn't think it would be worth going after last years fiasco but I also didn't know that they were going to have so many exclusives this year. I have every botcon exclusive from '96 to '04 and now I'm gonna have to shell out hundreds of dollars to keep my botcon collection mostly complete. I hope next year is a little closer to me
