Okay, welcome to the first entry for Rawhide's Univere of Robotmasters (RUR)

 

Over the course of the next, well years probably, considering the pace I work in, I will create some repaints/kitbashes to add more figures to the Robotmaster line. The first entry is for Slapdash/Roadking.

 

Earlier this year I bought some junkers off e-bay. Among this was a badly damaged Robotmaster Mirage (or whatever he's officially called): missed a lower arm, one leg was mangled, the other was broken and the part that holds the spoiler was bend. Using parts from a Machine Wars Prowl I had lying around, I initially decided to repair him. A thought that was quickly dismissed. Instead I decided to make it a new addition to the line. With only a few race cars in G-1, I quickly came to Slapdash (Roadking in Japan).

 

I gave him the head from Machine Wars Hubcap (sanded some parts down, sawed off his forehead and put a piece plastic in it to make it resemble Slapdash a little more) and completely repainted the figure.

Roadking looks awesome and spot-on. Makes me wish I picked up a RM Mirage while I was at Akon to repaint like this. Slapdash was one of my favorite characters in G1.
