The problem with AFA is that it would be impossible to determine if that was a 1984 or 1985 Optimus Prime without opening the box. So they put "1984" on the sticker, but the rub 1985 ones came in a 1984 box...

You can tell this is a first release prime because the trailer parts and roller are all light blue. This is supposed to be one of the rarest variants to be found. (maybe even more rare than the red feet prime from what I hear)

 

I think he actually meant to say pre-rub prime, cuz I got one of these (no box  :tdown ) and there is no rub sign on it...unless a few of these DID get released with the rub sign but I've never heard that any were, and the figure is dated 1983.

Honestly, I really don't think anyone in their right mind is going to bid on this one. The box looks a little dinged up here and there, and unless you're willing to open the plastic case, there's no way to really tell whether or not somebody deftly re-taped the box with a G2 prime inside.

 

Besides, ASA doesn't really mean much to me. It's just a way to drive up the cost of a collectible IMO.
