Slamdance

I was wondering...just some opinions...

Would Slamdance be considered a Duocon? (Or Duobot, since he's a Autobot)

Think about it- two separate vehicle modes, one combined robot mode... I know Grandslam/Raindance had tape modes too, but still....

Any thoughts?

He's considered a gestault, where seperate sentient beings combine together to form a new optimal whole...

a Duocon (or bot) is a bot that has two vehicle modes that combine into one robot, but share a mind/personality, they're don't become seperate minds/personalities when split.

Sky Lynk, however, IS, technically, a Duobot/con!

I dunno. They still have their individual modes. Duocons could only had one mode without combining. Skylinx' individual parts can turn into a shuttle/bird and a lion/crate. Once again, I'd consider them to be combiners.

Well, that would make the E-combienrs some sort of duocon, in this case a penta-con since the combiner was a single entity that could split in 5 parts, contrary to the original gestalts.

No, Energon combiners aren't like Duocons either. Duocons' separate halves only have one mode. Flywheels can only turn into a jet and a tank when separate from each other. The pieces don't have individual robot modes. Combiners always have either an animal or a robot mode AND some sort of alt mode.
