it is no way fair to raise price of the toys to more than twice the us price.

Basics and Deluxes sold relatively well becasue they were charging a hefty amount in the first place, it's almost as if they decided to jack up the pricing on them becasue they were selling well.

This will continue with the movie toys as well. If you're not happy with the latest price hike, send Hasbro UK a letter and let them know that you refuse to be taken any further advantage of..

2X the U.S price is pushing it. 2.5 times the U.S price is just a mockery.

Got wave 1 classics today from epicheroes mail order. Have to say that if you can't hang on then £90 seems a reasonable price for them, especially considering the rumoured price increases anyway. (works out at only £10 more expensive even if the voyagers are £20 and the deluxes £10) Thought on the figures, ranked from 1 to 6 depending on how much I liked them (1 being best):

Prime - one of the best OPs I would say. The weapon combos and articulation on this guy are great. Only thing I would fault is the arm kibble - can't be folded out of the way I'm afraid. (1)

Bumblebee - Not much you can't love about this little guy - great head sculpt and perfect proportioning - best BB ever! not as much articulation as others though due to restrictions of his compact mode. Nice idea for trailer/jetpack but could have been done better. Like the way he stands a head below rodimus and screamer even though they're the same size class. (2)

Starscream - Good G1 homage but not as articulated as you might think. Also, the empty gap on the undercarriage notices a lot in alt mode. Can't pose the arms well without moving the wings. Shame his cockpit (huh huh, you said...) is attached so awkwardly to the back of his head. I personally found the jet colour scheme a bit too much on the garish side. (3)

Rodimus - very good homage, although gun's a bit crappy and arms can't really bend while holding it. Side leg kibble is also a bit crappy as is assault mode (where gun flips forward in car mode) Car mode is awesome though. (4)

Megatron - head taller than prime, clever transform and lotsa articulation, probably the most out of all of them Shame about the colours and shellformer aspect with the wings - really lets him down. (5)

Astrotrain - at first I thought I'd like him the best and he does stand slightly taller than starscream with a good G1 feel to him and awesome gun. Problem is, although the bot mode is quite good and posable I found the right arm pops off and don't care much for the feet. The shuttle mode is passable but the train mode is just awful. I really think they tried too hard with this one and came up with a toy that lacked the greatness of its predecessor. (6)
